Really good live vocal microphone.

I have 20 years experience working in live sound at very high levels. I've had the privilege of traveling the world with A list artist as well as providing services for local and regional bands.
For the last year I have enjoyed working in a great jazz club with great acoustics and many great musicians and singers stopping by. I've put this mic in front of many singers. Male, female, loud, quiet etc. It really has not ever let me down. Super stable in monitors, better than many others (including it's more expensive big brother the AE6100). It really is a very easy mic to use. The coverage is not so narrow that the vocal disappears when a little off the mic, yet it rejects stage noise very well. Not boomy. Not harsh. I have not had a single vocalist I've given this mic to complain to me that it wasn't good enough. Never ever EVER. I have many multitrack recordings of shows from the club that prove over and over again how this mic just works fabulously on virtually every voice in a live situation. I would pick this mic over other AT dynamic vocal mics, and perhaps over other popular brand names in the same category.

Music background: Professional live sound engineer.

This is absolute quality

I went to the PA Centre today as I was looking for a mic that was a great live vocal mic.

I already have a Shure SM58 whic is a great mic which I have had for years. But I was looking for something with a bit more edge.

The guy that served me is experianced in a lot of sound engineering and he suggested that I give this a try.

He let me test this against the SM 58 and the Beta 58 and I must say this mic just blew me away . It had a beautiful natural warm sound with low feedback and a great frequency response.

I use it for the first time in a gig today and I really enjoyed the sound quality, some of my musician friends commented on how amazing it sounded and I noticed the crowd responded more then usual.

I definatly reccomend that you give this mic a try and you will see exactly what I mean.

The guy said these mics are fairly new.

I am well pleased with this product.
