An Ergonomic, Immersive Player

Whether you’re a curious beginner, an advancing intermediate, or a down-sizing professional, the Advanced Acoustic Auditorium series from Ibanez provides the smooth playability and stellar tone that all guitarists covet. This acoustic-electric model comes outfitted with a bright and articulate solid Sitka spruce top paired with a Macassar ebony back and sides, backed by an okoume neck and a well-sustaining purpleheart fingerboard. An Ibanez AEQ-TP2 preamp with an accompanying T-bar under-saddle pickup amplifies this 6-string with phenomenally transparent clarity when you’re ready to plug in. Its Advanced Acoustic Auditorium series affiliation also promises players a smattering of deluxe features, including an Acoustic Information Response (A.I.R.) sound port, a comfortable low-oval neck profile, and chrome-plated 18:1 die-cast tuning machines for absolutely superb intonation. From burgeoning songwriters to true spotlight stealers, the Ibanez Advanced Acoustic Auditorium series from Sweetwater makes for a fantastic fit.

Pro-sonic structuring

This Advanced Acoustic Auditorium features a single-cut body with a solid Sitka spruce top for a clear, sharp, and forward sound accompanied by the deep and dark tones of its Macassar ebony back and sides. Ibanez’s projective X-M bracing pattern adds plentiful volume. Meanwhile, with its ergonomic low-oval profile, the purpleheart-topped okoume neck is engineered for maximum sustain and an incredibly comfortable grip in hand. Its 15.75-inch fingerboard radius offers a remarkably flat playing surface for easy bends and roaming of the 20 nickel frets with effortless precision. Indeed, folk, bluegrass, and indie artists will feel right at home with the Advanced Acoustic Auditorium at their fingertips.

Wield with confidence

Not only does Ibanez’s Advanced Acoustic Auditorium series deliver the exceptional sound and feel you require, but it plays better than most examples in its price range. To thank for such stellar dependability and natural-sounding responsiveness are a handful of quality hardware appointments, starting with a purpleheart bridge that houses six steadfast Ibanez Advantage bridge pins. Anchoring things down on the other end of the guitar, Ibanez has enlisted a set of chrome-plated die-cast tuning machines with an impressive 18:1 gear ratio for making adjustments with the utmost precision while holding its intonation for long periods of play. Take to the stage, press record, or simply strum around the house without a worry!

Immersive A.I.R. sound port

Playing acoustic guitar has always meant a bit of sacrifice in terms of what the artist gets to hear due to the traditional direction of the soundhole. But that’s not the case here. An A.I.R. sound port, located on the side of the guitar at the upper bout, has been integrated into each Ibanez Advanced Acoustic Auditorium series instrument, prioritizing the auditory experience of the player. Superb for songwriting and vocalizing, this structural tactic provides direct monitoring for the guitarist for a more immersive experience with the music. But don’t worry, the Advanced Acoustic Auditorium’s standard circular soundhole in the top still projects confidently for those small stage and miked performances.

Ibanez AAM70CETBN Advanced Acoustic Auditorium Acoustic-electric Guitar Features:

  • Single-cut body with bright and articulate solid Sitka spruce top and deep and dark Macassar ebony back and sides
  • X-M bracing pattern provides fantastic forward projection
  • Purpleheart fingerboard, with a 15.75-inch radius and 20 nickel frets, plays incredibly smoothly
  • Okoume neck with a low-oval profile offers a commanding grip in hand

I found the one.

Everyone is looking for that one guitar that's fits and plays just right. The AAM70CETBN fits the bill. I have to admit I own a lot of guitars from Martin on down but this is the guitar I have been looking for. Right away I loved the look of the woods. Gorgeous. This guitar is so comfortable to play. Strings feel good, action is great. Love the cutaway. Love the sound. I was very doubtful about the Airport in the beginning but it is revolutionary. I can actually hear how my playing sounds. It does not affect the overall sound of the guitar at all. I expect more guitar brands to adopt some form of this if they are smart. The price is unbelievable for this guitar. Snatch it while you can.

I am not one to do reviews but hope this helps if you are looking to buy this guitar. Sweetwater is excellent to do business with!
