Ebony-reinforced cedar neck and Spanish heel
All Alhambra classical guitars are built according to the traditional Spanish style. Each guitar that leaves their workshop features a Spanish heel neck joint for boosted resonance and sustain. Need to familiarize yourself with the Spanish heel? Sweetwater has you covered. Essentially, a Spanish heel is one continuous piece of wood from the end of the headstock to the heel block. There is no neck joint, meaning the neck is glued directly to the top, back, and sides. This design ensures that all the neck vibrations are transferred to the body much more efficiently. The 9 P features a cedar neck with ebony reinforcements for years-long stability and a slightly higher factory setup for buzz-free singing tones.
