Coated Strings Never Sounded Better!

Coated strings last longer, but they also sound dead. Cleartone Electric Strings are coated, and they sound great. Thanks to Cleartone Strings and their EMP technology, coated strings sound better than ever. Cleartone's EMP (Enhanced Molecular Protection) is a patent pending process that extends the string's life by protecting it against oils from your hands, elements in the air, and just general string deterioration. EMP coating doesn't feel slick or slippery, and it won't flake off. You won't even know it is there. In a nut shell, it helps your strings stay fresh and clean without killing your tone.

Cleartone Strings uses only the finest nickel plated steel windings over a hex core. This combination gives you the best pickup response on your electric guitar and consistent sound.

Cleartone Electric Guitar Strings with EMP Coating Features:
  • EMP coating gives string longer life without killing the tone
  • Longer-lasting than conventional strings
  • Nickel-plated steel windings
  • .009, .011, .016, .024, .032, .042

Best coated strings!

I've tried different brands of coated strings with just "ok" results. These strings are the best I've ever tried. I've had them on for about 4 weeks, and they are still sounding good. I like how smooth they feel and sound when sliding up and down the strings.

Cleartone Strings

Very nice so far, I have had these on for a week and they are still fresh sounding and tune up good. That already puts them a notch above the other strings I have used. I am going to leave them on and see how long they will last and maybe write another review and let you know how long they go and still have tone and tune up.

Great strings!

I'm a DR Tite Fit .009 guy. They are great strings, too. The benefits of these Cleartones are they stay in tune and don't require a lot of stretching to get them right. The coating doesn't feel like a coating and they are bright and articulate (maybe, it's that they are wound at string tension). They are pretty slinky and you don't get a lot of extra string noise. It's every guitarists duty to try new things once in awhile. These strings meet all my criteria and I like that they are so easy to tune and you get consistent tone immediately.... for a long time. I loved DR Tite Fits, they are beefy sounding and have a great bluesy tone. But, I'm liking the Cleartones more, and I won't have to change them for a long while Bonus!!!!

Not worth the extra money

These strings don't sound better, or feel better than regular strings from any number of other manufacturers. I have had these strings on my guitar for 2 weeks now. They still sound fine and feel fine. They might last longer because of the coating, but at triple the cost of my favorite strings, (Dunlop) I will not purchase these again. They just don't impress me. For the cost, something... ANYTHING should improve in some small way, but... nothing does. I'll happily stick with my Dunlops or D'Addario's for a third of the cost. Don't waste the money. Especially if you have a low acidity level in your finger sweat. Seriously... that's a thing. And it's the ONLY reason you might want these strings. (if you have a higher acidity in your finger sweat.) The coating should help your strings stay fresh for longer between string changes.
