Perfect
These are amazing. Made my Strat sound the way I wanted it to
Great Upgrade
Purchased to upgrade my Mexican strat. Easy to install with only 3 joints to solder. Sound is amazing and the complete control over the pickups.

Quality is great but not what I was after
The pickups are too twangy and bright in all positions all around. Should have kept my les Paul.

I wanted this setup for rock, not bright jazzy type stuff. Oh well. Its a great build and the quality is amazing but its twangy and brighter than any setup you will take out of any strat.
Great concept but quality control is an issue
I really wanted to like this loaded pickguard, but the quality control just wasn't there.

Things that were good: The wiring was probably the cleanest and most detailed that I have ever seen on a loaded pickguard. The Pots, Capacitors, and Switches were great quality. Having the option to turn on the neck pickup and to coil split the bridge and neck pickup (the middle pickup wasn't wired to split) is a great concept that would make for a versatile guitar.

Things that were NOT good: The first pickguard that I received had some major flaws that got past QC. The volume knob was severely rubbing on the bridge pickup adjustment screw, the bridge and neck pickup were not centered in the opening and the pickup was rubbing on the pickguard, the adjustment screws for the pickups were angled in toward the pickup....this made it so the screw heads did not sit flat on the pickguard and when the pickup was raised, the pickguard would bow. The replacement that I recieved was much better, but the adjustment screws were still angled in toward the pickups which created the same problem as the first pickguard.

As always, Sweetwater (Alex and Nathaniel) took care of things. I was issued a refund and ordered an EMG loaded pickguard for my Partscaster. I have to say, I was very disappointed in 920D as I had heard a lot of good things about them. Hopefully their Quality Control gets better.
