I searched for a tine upgrade for a inexpensive telecaster copy that I presently own. My research ended as usual on the Sweetwater site with my Sales rep Bryan G. Having discussed what I already purchased 2yrs prior Seymour Duncan bridge pickup I inquired about a dimarzio pairing. I ended up purchasing a DiMarzio Muscle T Neck, this in combination with the 4way control plate has transformed my tone incredibly. This is the second time I have added one of these to my telecastors. Very well, assembled top quality product definition recommended. If you're looking to add just a little something extra to your sound. I'm using this how long with my Fender texmex pickups.

I have a squire affinity tele, the switch is a very nice upgrade. The tone is much nicer than the standard switch. To be absolutely honest, I will probably ditch it for a 3 way switch sometime in the future as I thought 4 ways would be great but I have yet to find a use for 4 positions lol. The switch does make it sound better though. So yes, the switch itself is extremely high quality and it does make the tone much nicer than the stock 3 way switch. Well worth the price. In the future I will probably replace it with a 3 way of the same brand.

I've done a lot of upgrades to less expensive guitars. This pre wired control plate makes things simpler. The tone is a thousand times better.

Fit great as a direct drop in replacement on a cheap-o Harley Benton project (ash body with a maple neck, per Tele standard). Installed with with a Fender CS Nocaster '51 set.. If you're looking at the review, you've probably noticed the high quality that 920D is putting into their products. Knobs are smooth and responsive, switch and output jack are rock solid. Comes with a well-labeled diagram to explain the wiring and clearly show where to solder.

As for the 4th position.. The new position is kind of voiced like a Neck humbucker as opposed to a more Bridge-like humbucker sound that the Mid position normally gives us when the Tone knob is maxxed. Very natural, intuitive feel switching through from the Twang-iest to Smoothest tone. All four positions are unique and respond well to rolling off the tone and/or volume to create nuances in your sound.

PLEASE NOTE: If you are interested in the 4way Tele configuration and you want your neck pickup to have that classic Tele silver cover plate, you will have to make a small mod to the pickup. (I know, I know - it's supposed to be pre-wired lol) It's a pretty simple process that YouTube University will walk you through. You just have to de-solder one contact and run a new wire - takes about 30 seconds.
