A Whole Lotta Tone for Your ES-335

Drop this 920D Custom Wiring Harness into your favorite Gibson ES-335, and prepare to unlock a staggering 21 different pickup configurations from a single guitar! This easy-to-install harness comes with custom wiring courtesy of Gavitt Wire alongside all the components necessary to instantly upgrade your ES-335, rounded out with a quartet of top-quality Bourns push-pull 500K pots. By taking inspiration from a certain English rock band's Les Paul-wielding wizard, 920D Custom's Twenty-one Tone Wiring Harness achieves independent coil-splitting, phase control, and even series/parallel switching — Sweetwater's tireless tone chasers found more than a few missing puzzle pieces in their sonic quest by testing out these unique options. Give your prized workhorse the tonal TLC it deserves with a 920D Custom Wiring Harness!

Note: This wiring harness is designed for 4-conductor pickups. It's not compatible with 2-conductor designs.

920D Custom: all the aftermarket upgrades you'll ever need

Proving that it's much more than a name, 920D Custom products come stock with many of the professional upgrades that today's players seek out once they get their new instrument home. Through a partnership with premium wire manufacturer Gavitt Wire, 920D Custom products sport perfect-length pushback wire consisting of an outer waxed cotton layer and inner Celanese braid. 500K pots are a common aftermarket upgrade thanks to their audible tonal tightening, made even better with a Pure Tone 1/4-inch output jack to eliminate the unwanted pop and crackle that occurs from a weak connection. Top-quality components like these only scratch the surface — when needing a serious sonic upgrade, consider a 920D Custom product for your favorite axe!

Reviews

This ended up being ok but uneccesarily frustrating.
It functioned perfectly but not right out of the box. It really is a huge improvement from the factory Epiphone electronics with its extra tonal possibilities and upgraded caps. However, you gotta really have a lot of patience and resilience to install this. The product looks exactly like the photo when its delivered but the pic doesnt tell you how much "extra" wire is used to make it look no nice. The push pull pots just barely fit through the F hole and bridge pickup cavity openings and with all the thick semi rigid wire considerable stress is placed on connections as they're coaxed inside to their destinations. This resulted in several broken connectiions which of course you dont realize until everything is in place. After the third attempt, I replaced some of the factory wire with more flexible wire to finally get it in without a connection breaking a connection. Next time, I will just buy the components and build the harness myself.
Very disappointed

I have a Sheraton, I thought with this harness I would be the tone KING! NOT!! If I turn down the volume below 8, I lose all ability to create tones bridge and neck. It goes dark and very muffled. Very disappointing.
