Iconic Tones and All-analog Sonic Circuitry, Reimagined

As part of Nux’s celebrated Reissue series, the ’59 Bassguy preamp pedal invokes the iconic bass-crafting character of 1959, reimagined for the modern player’s palette of pedalboard potential. This stompbox’s all-analog circuitry was born from Nux’s meticulous and highly detailed studying of the ’59 Bassguy’s aural ancestor, masterfully capturing the titanic tones of the lauded amp, going as far as to outfit the pedal with a 2-way Jump toggle that emulates the lauded “jumpering” effect found on the original — a feat praised by Sweetwater’s studio scholars for its ability to instantly activate the brighter-style profile that makes the ’59 amp such a sought-after studio solution to this day. Armed with Gain, Master, and Tone controls to contour and fine-tune your sound, the Nux ’59 Bassguy brings historic sonic-sculpting capabilities to your setup.

Nux '59 Bassman Features:

  • Faithful re-creation of an iconic ’59 bass amp, reimagined for the convenience and versatility of a pedal-based rig
  • 100% analog circuitry ensures accurate tone-crafting capabilities
  • 2-way Jump toggle lets you instantly engage the lauded jumpering-style brightness that characterized the original hardware
  • Streamlined 3-knob control scheme provides malleable tone-tailoring tools that don’t compromise the vintage-inspired sonic palette
  • True bypass guarantees full control of your signal path and final mix
  • Optional battery-powered operation expands versatility by eschewing the need for sole reliance on a power-supply unit (not included)

Reviews

Super cool pedal

I've never owned an actual Fender '59 bassman, but I'm a huge fan of the old tweed tone and this pedal does it well!

$ vs lots of money? This works for me!

Thanks to Andy Rice my SW sales engineer. You always treat me right!

Music background: Semi-pro
This pedal is a winner! Incredible tones for the price.BUY IT!
Next best thing to a time machine!
When I first started playing in bands at the dawn of the 70's we all wanted the new amps with the silver front panels. Nobody wanted those old amps with the cloth covering. By the time we realized that was the tone we wanted the prices on those amps was sky high. And continue to get higher.
This fun little pedal gives you some of that tone without breaking the bank.
