The Fender '57 Custom Twin-Amp tube amplifier brings you the authentic sound, looks, and vibe of a classic. It pumps 40 watts of tube-powered tone through two 12" Eminence Special Design speakers, which include an alnico magnet for vintage sound. The handwired circuitry ensures that you can easily manipulate your guitar's volume and tone controls to get a range of dynamic, responsive tones. And the Fender '57 Custom Twin-Amp's solid pine cabinet, lacquered tweed covering, and leather strap handle make the '57 Custom Twin-Amp look as amazing as it sounds.

Reissue of a legendary combo

The 1950s Fender Twin-Amp tube amps are some of the most coveted vintage amplifiers of all time for their blend of nuance and smooth sound when cranked wide open. They display a top-end clarity that is never shrill and plenty of fat, thick tone that sounds like the best part of yesteryear. Because this Fender '57 Custom Twin-Amp is 40 watts, it breaks up at a much lower volume than the Black Panel designs of the '60s, perfect for a driven live or recorded performance. There's a very good reason this circuit is so sought-after on the vintage market.

Nails the authentic Fender tweed tone

The Fender '57 Custom Twin-Amp sounds great at lower volumes for clear, clean tones. But it's when you turn the volume knob up past noon that you'll begin to coax iconic sustain from this icon of amplifiers. It's a tone unlike any other amplifier out there. And because the whole amp is handwired with incredible attention to detail, the '57 Custom Twin-Amp responds to your playing, your pickup positions, and control manipulations effortlessly. You'll attain a wide range of tonal shades out of this simple-to-use amp.

Looks great onstage, in the studio, or at home

A good portion of what makes the original and this '57 Custom Twin-Amp so identifiable are the amps' very 1950s looks. The '57 Custom Twin-Amp tube combo amplifier is covered in the expertly applied lacquered tweed covering. Its golden hues stand out and look fantastic whether onstage, in the studio, or sitting comfortably in your living room. The period-correct oxblood grille cloth and genuine leather handle complete the aesthetic package. We know these amps sound fantastic, but every player at Sweetwater wants one to make our home studios look that much better.

Fender '57 Custom Twin-Amp Tube Combo Amplifier Features:
  • Reissue of a 1957 Fender Twin-Amp combo amp
  • Handwired construction offers the truest possible tone
  • Authentic coupling capacitors used
  • Unbelievably touch sensitive when turned up
  • 2 Special Design 12" Eminence alnico speakers
  • Low-headroom 40 watts are phenomenal for live and studio use
The Fender '57 Custom Twin-Amp tube amp brings the golden era of guitar tone to your studio or practice room.

Reviews

Eric Clapton's Go-To Amp for many Years
These Fender class "A" 1957 amps are my favorites. The Fender tweed Twin amp has been Eric Clapton's main go-to amp on stage for decades.
This era of class "A" Fender amps are in my opinion the best ever amps ever offered to the public.
I own a Fender '57 Bandmaster, a '57 Super, and a '57 Twin amp.
Music background: I sang and played top-40 guitar music through most of the 1970's.
Fenders Best!
Hand wired amps do have the better sound, it all is proven by the activity of the electron's lifespan inside those nice vacuum tubes at varying voltage levels as you plek the strings whether tones set on clean, distortion or crunch, forty watts are not terribly loud but loud enough, if you are going to the stadium, then mic it for a vast experience in music performance. Sweetwater had great patron service when I got this one. This amp will certainly help you find and develop your tone. Thanks you Delvin Wolf
It’s a beauty
Where should I start? This amp is awesome! No lie. I haven't even gotten to plugging any pedals into it yet. Plug in a Strat and you'll get crystal cleans for miles that just start to break up at higher volumes with bell like tones and gorgeous sustain. Plug in a Les Paul and it's much easier to get this amp to break up and what a sweet crunchy breakup it is. The treble is never shrill and the bass is not wooly but just be clear, this amp is LOUD! No BS. It's hurt you loud when cranked. I'm in love with it. The purity and clearness of the sound is a thing of beauty. Thanks to my Sweetwater sales engineer Perry Davis for being awesome and keeping me up to date on the status of my order and making this amp happen for me. I am forever grateful.
Fender 57 deluxe twin
I tried a marshal jubilee, than the 57 1x12 amp by fender. Both very good equipment but thanks to Sweetwater return policy decided to try the 57 2x12 fender twin, finally I could stop chasing the sound I wanted. Great sound.
The Best Guitar Amp Made Period
The Fender 57 Twin Amp is the best Guitar amp made period. I know that"s a strong statement. I also own great guitar amps and great guitars and great sounding pedals. So why so great. The sound is so clean and crisp. It"s responsive and just makes your guitar sound great! It"s simple and effective.
Not a lot of dials or buttons to play with. Turn it on and it responds better than any amp I have played through. Now it"s basically a clean amp. It gives a nice overdriven sound when you turn up the volume.
Here"s the key. I run a Stymon blue sky reverb pedal and a Friedman BE-OD overdrive/distortion pedal through the 57 Twin. WOW, the sounds are just amazing. The amp handles these high end pedal perfectly and the sound is as good as it gets.
It"s also great looking amp and worth every penny I paid for. I"m so happy to have bought it and I Thank Matt from Sweetwater for all of his great help! Enjoy it!
