A Handwired, Historic 5E3 Fender Tweed Deluxe!

The Fender '57 Custom Deluxe tube amplifier brings you the authentic sound, looks, and vibe of a classic. It pumps twelve watts of tube-powered tone through a newly designed 12-inch Eminence Special Design speaker, which includes an alnico magnet for vintage sound. The handwired circuitry ensures that you can easily manipulate your guitar's volume and tone controls to get a range of dynamic, responsive tones. And the Fender '57 Custom Deluxe's solid pine cabinet, lacquered Tweed covering, and leather strap handle make the '57 Custom Deluxe look as amazing as it sounds.

Reissue of a legendary combo amp

The 1950s Fender Deluxe tube amps have become some of the most coveted vintage amplifiers of all time for how well they record and how they sound when cranked wide open. They display a warm low end with plenty of top-end clarity that is never shrill - just plenty of fat, thick overdrive that sounds like the best part of yesteryear. Because vintage Deluxes and this Fender '57 Custom Deluxe are 12 watts, they break up at just the right volume, making them ideal for live performance and recording. There's a very good reason this circuit is so sought-after on the vintage market.

Nails the authentic Fender tweed tone

The Fender '57 Custom Deluxe sounds great at low volumes for clear, clean tones. But it's when you turn the volume knob up past noon that you'll begin to coax iconic sustain from this icon of amplifiers. It's a tone unlike any other amplifier out there. And because the whole amp is handwired with incredible attention to detail, the '57 Custom Deluxe responds to your playing, guitars' pickup positions, and control manipulations effortlessly. You'll attain a wide range of tonal shades out of this simple-to-use amp.

Looks great onstage, in the studio, or at home

A good portion of what makes the original and this '57 Custom Deluxe so identifiable are the amps' very 1950s looks. The '57 Custom Deluxe tube combo amplifier is covered in the expertly applied lacquered tweed covering. Its golden hues stand out and look fantastic whether onstage, in the studio, or sitting comfortably in your living room. The period-correct oxblood grille cloth and genuine leather handle complete the aesthetic package. We know these amps sound fantastic, but every player at Sweetwater wants one to make our home studios look that much better.

Fender Dream Tone
This is, for me, THE Fender tone!! I love this amp! The very first time I plugged into this amp I used the #2 input with all the knobs halfway. I rolled back my guitar volume and boom! I had the classic Fender clean tone with an edge of breakup if I picked hard. If that's all I got out of this amp I would be happy, but there are so many different awesome tones in here. The driven tones are great too. Right now I'm putting a tube reverb, Fender 63 Reverb reissue unit in front of it, just incredible tone!
Thanks to my sales rep Jon Mostacato for helping make this happen!!
Extraordinary!
Been playing for a while through all kinds of amps in all kinds of venues.

This Fender 57 Custom amp is far and away one of Fender's best creations. It is extremely responsive and articulate. The cleans are super chimey and it loves dirt pedals of all sorts. Chorus/delay/verb/etc., all sound great pushing the front of the amp. The alnico 12 inch speaker produces some really warm overdrive too. Really glad Fender went with this speaker.

Any kind of music with single coils or humbuckers. I gig every weekend in a 4 piece band playing lodges to clubs to TIKI bars to large banquet halls. Eagles to Bob Seager to Beatles to Deep Purple to Lenny Kravitz to Shocking Blue.

This amp sits perfectly in the mix and really punches through for solos. I mic it with an SM57 for bigger gigs and it still sounds killer.

Really looking forward to doing some recording with it this Fall.

Don't sweat the price. It's worth it- believe me. It sounds that great. The cloth cover is also a nice touch.
57 Custom Deluxe
I bought one these in 2007 and sold it the next year and always regretted it. The Deluxe nails that tweed tone I love. I've retubed with NOS tubes and this amp is so sweet.
If you’ve never played this, you just don’t know.
I finally bought this amp. My sales representative, Will Newbill said that the amp would improve my playing and make me more touch sensitive when picking and strumming. He said that the amp being hand wired, was easier to work on, repair, change parts, maintain, etc.
I say, it's hard to believe I never knew how good this amp sounds. It is so much more pronounced in producing tone when switching pick-ups and using guitar volume and tone controls. The way it moves air and when you strum a chord you can distinctly "feel every string". Clarity with barks and howls. Pure tone straight through the amp.
I don't know I lived without it. This amp Rocks!
God bless Leo Fender…

Dream Amp for sure
I have dreamed about having this amp for sometime, finally purchased about 2 months ago. I have got too say the most amazing amp I have ever played through, amazing range in tone, really dont need pedals with this amp, it does take them well, a bit of a learning curve, learning too use the 2 volumes and tone on the amp and tone and volume on your guitar as well, perfect match for my Strat and Tele, which both have custom wiring and pups. Thanks goes out too my sales rep. Jordan Clohessy and all the staff at Sweetwater
