Flexible 5-position power scaling
While the EVH 5150III Hypersonic 6L6’s 50-watt power rating offers more than enough juice to rock the stage, 50 watts can be just a bit too powerful for late-night practice sessions and home studio recording. Thankfully, EVH designed the 5150III Hypersonic 6L6 with five attenuated settings on tap, giving this amp the power to scale from a full 50-watt blast all the way down to one watt. Best of all, the EVH’s state-of-the-art digital architecture ensures that the 5150III Hypersonic 6L6 performs with the same tube-inspired authenticity at any volume level.
Built-in DSP reverb gives you one more way to tweak your tone
EVH decided to step up their 50-watt EVH 5150III Hypersonic 6L6 up by outfitting it with a custom DSP reverb section. One knob is all you need to control this reverb, taking it from a glossy shine to a full-on wet sound. Even better, the EVH 5150III Hypersonic 6L6 sports MIDI input, allowing you to switch channels or bypass the reverb section remotely or with a standard footswitch.
