Reviews

Amazing bang for the buck cabinet
This is a well built, amazing cabinet actually built by Fender Mexico for EVH. I honestly don't know how they make money on selling this because it rivals far more expensive cabinets. I am using a Duncan Powerstage to run my board and Friedman IR-X into this beast and it sounds glorious. I could not be any happier with my purchase. I have owned a lot of gear in my close to 50 years playing and this is one of the best cabinets I have purchased. Can't wait for those Anniversary Celestions to break in.

So Far my new System is Evolving nicely. I'm going to Double Insulate the Room for Obvious reasons. Also I rewired the electrical outlets to have individual Isolated Grounds. I've added a ABY switch for my Duel 5150 Heads, so I can switch channels on both Heads simultaneously with (One) EVH channel switch pedal. I'm still working on using Both FX loops simultaneously with 3 cables only (if Possible). Thanks for the help "All" at Sweetwater for prompt responses and delivery. To Be Continued...
EVH 2x12 60w "Stealth" cab
(First, I gotta point out another review on here by some idiot going by "J" from Nevada, who removed a star because he thought it could only handle 60 watts because it's rated at 16 ohms.
No, "J", it handles 60 watts because it has two 30 watt speakers. *Can someone let him know?)

Anyway, even though I only use EVH Stealth heads (both 100 watt versions, 2 of the 50 watt heads, and the LBX-S at home), I still exclusively use Randall XL cabs live (w/ the logos removed). But when I needed a couple new 2x12 cabs for recording and session work, I knew the first cab I was buying would be this one.. and this cab is awesome! Not just with my 15, 50, and 100 watt Stealth heads, but my 1982 Bradshaw modded Marshall JCM800 50 watt (w/ Soldano V2 "hot mod" and 6550's) shines through this cab. I even bought a Crate Stealth amp from a pawn shop (as a joke), but it actually sounds great through the EVH 2x12. "No Ragrets" over here! Thanks Sweetwater!

Exact Sound I was Looking For
This cabinet was paired with my EVH 5150 LBX-S 15-Watt head and sounds exactly like I wanted. The G12H 30-watt Anniversary speakers have the high-end cut I was looking for and the cabinet, based on it's dimensions and construction, gives the bottom end I also wanted. Both clean and metal tones sound great. Moreover, the kickstand is perfect for bedroom volumes since I can point them directly at me while playing. Lastly, I built a custom board and retrofitted the amp brackets to mount the lunchbox head, which works perfect.

Unreal Value
In short, this cab is ridiculous; ridiculously huge sound, ridiculously portable, and ridiculous bang:buck. The G12H Annies (UK made, by the way) in it might sound a bit harsh before you break them in, but give them a few good doses of the juice and they'll loosen up and sound absolutely fantastic. They comfortably handle pretty much anything without sounding unbalanced. The cab also seems to really work to enhance their character as you can definitely feel the cab itself adding some serious low-end muscle, but it never gets out of control and flubby. I've actually been using it on top of an Orange PPC 4x12 loaded with V30s and WGS Retro 30s because the little EVH just serves up more beef.

For $, it's possibly the best deal on the market for a new cab. With the cost of the primo speakers in it, you're basically getting a birch cab with nice pop-in casters and tilt-back legs. There's no reason that that little cash should net something that sounds this killer.
