The team at 4ms has paired their Shuffling Clock Multiplier with the accompanying Breakout module into a single 12HP module. The impressive result is the Shuffling Clock Multiplier+, which delivers the same offering as the original duo but with tighter timing and a streamlined UI that have wowed Sweetwater’s modular maestros. Multiply incoming clocks from 2x to 8x, with eight total output choices. Shuffle, slip, skip, and rotate functions can be modified on the fly, creating complex rhythmic ecosystems. The slip value controls the delay of a pulse value; shuffling determines which pulses are slipped; skipping will mute chosen pulses; and rotation reconfigures the connection between jack outputs and multiplied clocks. Quick access to pulse width, mute, and 4x speed control makes for judicious edits that — when stacked with the rest of the module’s offering — can lead to some unpredictable modular mayhem.
