Tone Capacitors Built the Old Way

This Emerson Custom 0.047 Tone Capacitor is engineered to give you the same performance as the legendary tone caps in great vintage guitars. These caps offer mil-spec construction, incorporating a hermetically sealed metal tubular casing with sealed glass ends. They are comparable to vintage Sprague Vitamin Q capacitors. Guitarists at Sweetwater know that every component in your guitar affects your sound. If your guitar needs a tonal upgrade, these 0.047uf capacitors are a great way to do it for not a lot of money.

Emerson Custom capacitors are constructed from the finest materials and come in a guitar- and bass-friendly size of 0.875" long by 0.40" in diameter. They are the only new mil spec capacitors being made in the US, and each one is accurate within a 10% tolerance. The hermetically sealed metal tubular case with sealed glass ends uses true vintage kraft paper in oil construction to provide optimal tone. Internally all Emerson Custom capacitors are the same, only differentiated by the external graphics and the capacitance value.

Emerson Custom Pre-wired 0.047uf Tone Capacitor Features:
  • 0.047uf tone caps
  • Built to mil-spec
  • Sturdy 20 AWG copper-clad steel leads
  • Vintage Kraft paper in oil construction
Upgrade your tone with these Emerson Custom 0.047uf tone capacitors.

Reviews

Emerson custom tone capacitor
If you like good tone like I do , you won't be disappointed . You will be very glad you've installed this gem. This really expands your tone to it's fullest. I put one in each of my Basses. I am so happy I installed this capacitor. You will notice a difference. Rock on!!!
Custom capacitor for Bass Guitars
Adding one of these capacitors is one of the best things you can do for you Bass . There is such a huge difference between the old capacitor and the Emerson one, the tone range, and Dynamics are incredible.Nice rich tone seems to be a little creamy . I like them so much I add one to each of my Basses. They have a bit of a vintage twist to them. You must try them you won't be sorry, you'll be glad you put it in. It is one of the best up grades you can do for you Bass. I am a pro Bass player.
Emerson Quality
Ive been using Emerson parts for a long time. Backs when their caps were just wax dipped and didnt have a metal barrel or sealed ends. Its always top notch quality from Emerson and theyre made here in the USA. They sound phenomenal and only have two drawbacks. One, they are pretty large so it can be tricky to get them to fit in some control cavities. Two, the price is insane. Quality has gone up too but its insane how much these go for. That being said, they sound great and have leads long enough to put where every you want.
