Reviews

correction
my previous review said that the e string was wider than the c string. incorrect. the individual string envelopes were misprinted AECG instead of GCEA. i spoke with a Martin rep who told me the first batch was mislabeled. i had strung my uke backwards and it sounded great! go figure!
wasn't sure at first
put these strings on a laminate ohana… which never quite sound right. been screwing around with the action and different strings and the results were so so. i put some flourocarbon strings on, sounded better but the strings had a lot of tension and didnt feel good on the fingers. i put these Martins on 3 weeks ago and loved the way they feel (the e string is thicker than the c). the sound at first was underwhelming, but after about 20 hrs of play these premium strings sounded better and better. Between the feel and sound of the strings, this ohana now has the magic. Great strings
wrong label
these strings are great but i bit over priced i think.also when you put these on sometimes martin will put the wrong string is order your c string is always the thickest string your 3 3rd strin is c its normaly .80 or higher now look on your uke why is you e string thicker ??? lol your strings are on backwards no worry easy fix look at the back of the package go by the thickness of the strings and put them on by the chart the a will be thinnest then g then e then c from thin to thick ok hope this helps .took me a bit to figure this out maybe im wrong but my ukes sounded ok but the tension wasnt correct played strange lol but worked backwards .
