Mackie is a Proven Leader in Analog Mixers

Beyond sounding great, the Mackie 3204VLZ4 mixer is one piece of gear you can truly rely on. It continues the VLZ Series' trend for rock-solid construction, while taking your sound quality to a new level. You've got an amazingly wide dynamic range, incredible 60dB gain range on the Onyx microphone preamplifiers, and ultra-low-noise performance. The 3204VLZ4 also boasts effects DSP with two internal FX sends, and even a 4 x 2, 24-bit USB audio interface for easy, high-quality recording. And with high-resolution meters, generous I/O, and sealed rotary controls that keep out dust and grime, the Mackie 3204VLZ4 is one of Mackie's best mixers ever.

Mackie 3204VLZ4 32-channel Mixer at a Glance:
  • Premium-quality mixer with proven components
  • Sealed rotary controls ensure long-term reliability
  • Incredible sound quality
  • Built-in 32-bit RMFX+ Effects
  • Easy recording with built-in 24-bit USB audio interface
Premium-quality mixer with proven components

The Mackie 3204VLZ4 is, first and foremost, a Mackie mixer. It houses 28 of Mackie's premium-quality Onyx mic preamps for natural, transparent sound. Its mic/line channels are equipped with 3-band EQ with sweepable mids. Signal routing is easy and flexible. On top of all that, the Mackie 3204VLZ4 is built Mackie-tough - trust this mixer to perform even in the most harrowing situations.

Sealed rotary controls ensure long-term reliability

Sure, the Mackie 3204VLZ4 mixer will shrug off bumps, drops, and outright abuse, but what about spills or rain? Thankfully, the 3204VLZ4 boasts sealed rotary controls that resist grime, dust, and anything else that may spill onto your mixer. We're not saying it's fully waterproof, but it's an extra level of protection you'll eventually be very glad you have when you're running live sound in a hectic environment.

Incredible sound quality

VLZ stands for "very low noise", and that's just part of the appeal of the Mackie 3204VLZ4 mixer. In all you've got a 128.5dB dynamic range, making it easy to achieve full, punchy mixes. The Onyx mic preamps have a 60dB gain range, so you can get the best out of virtually any microphone. And because the 3204VLZ4's line inputs handle +22 dBu signal levels, you can connect high-output sound sources without worrying about distorting your inputs.

Built-in 32-bit RMFX+ Effects

The Mackie 3204VLZ4 mixer packs 32-bit RMFX+ effects processing, and you can use Aux 5 and Aux 6 on any channel to easily route it to the effects. From spacious reverbs and epic delays to rich chorus and other ear candy, you've got the tools you need to add that extra polish to your sound.

Easy recording with built-in 24-bit USB audio interface

Just connect your laptop to the Mackie 3204VLZ4 via USB and you'll be able to record your show with a minimum of fuss. Stream up to four subgroups or the master L/R mix to your computer for recording. You can even use your favorite plug-ins as live processors via Auxes 5/6! You can also return a stereo signal from your computer to the board for playback, or even to a mixer channel to use EQ and monitoring sends. The point is, the Mackie 3204VLZ4 gives you more options than you've ever had with a VLZ mixer.

Mackie 3204VLZ4 24-channel Mixer Features:
  • Amazingly rugged analog mixer with 28 microphone preamplifiers
  • Onyx mic preamps offer up to 60dB of gain for great performance with any mic
  • Ultra-low-noise performance gives you clean, clear sound
  • High-resolution stereo meters give you fast, easy visual indication of your signal levels
  • Sealed rotary controls resist dust and grime
  • Four-bus design and intuitive routing make it easy to create submixes for easier, faster mixing
  • Dual FX processors make it easy to add studio-quality effects to your show
  • 4 x 2 USB audio interface makes it easy to capture high-quality 24-bit recordings
  • USB connection can also be used for computer audio playback, or even plug-in effects

It's hard to beat the sound and performance of the Mackie 3204VLZ4!

3 204VLZ mixer
Replaced and old Mackie onyx with the new, 3204,
Everything plugged in operating perfectly and the USB interface allows us to use it with zoom meetings. Everything worked first time sounds great installed quick.
Music background: Build, design, recording, studios, and professional venues been playing percussion since 12 several tours engineered, several albums, including my own
Great Mixer
Purchased in Sept. 2018 as a replacement for a 23 year old Mackie that was 32 channel that had been knocked out 3 times by lightning, " even being plugged into a power pro". and the power supply replaced as well. Started loosing channels and due to age was no longer worthy to be repaired anymore. This board is used in our church and when we purchased the New Mackie 3204VLZ4 mixer I love the added on board EFX.
The only thing I was having concerns with was it seemed that my main signal LEDS were not working like they should and the USB did not seem to be sending out a good enough signal to be of any use but the audio quality out of the board is great.
Being 57 years old and from old school mixing Lol I finally figured out that I needed to send my vocals through at least sub sends 1 and 2 and L/R main mix set my mains at -10Db and my channel sliders to Unity then soloed each channel and adjusted the channel gains my main mix LEDS finally came to life and are working great.
Now to the USB I found that the board is actually sending out a great audio signal for recording, As we use Audacity and a MAC Mini for our Video and Audio recording that I wasn't configuring Audacity properly and this will apply to Garage band as well or any other recording software. In Audacity Go into preferences and set your recording to show Db on the channels, start your recording and run your mix when you are done recording you must go to effects in Audacity and select normalize also make certain Auto Correct DC offset is checked as well Set the Max Level to -10Db and then click apply then watch the magic, when the track is finished normalizing you now have a great recording that you can save and burnt to disk.
This board does exactly what it's supposed to do. It does not come with a user manual but you can download it from the web and make sure to take the time and read through it BEFORE you start mixing on it as Mackie has really simplified so much on this board and have made some long overdue changes to the gain structure from the channels to the main outputs. With 6 Aux sends, 4 sub buses you can't go wrong with this board.
Music background: Over 30 years experiance with Audio in Schools and Churchs
Worth every penny!!!
Our band picked this up to replace my Allen & Health Zed 24 which has been less than reliable (sorry to say). We've used the Mackie on four gigs now (we play every weekend) and it has been flawless. The AUX sends work great for the monitor mixes. Preamps are very versatile with a good range whether running mic/line, guitar synth, acoustic, drums, vocals, etc. Having all the jacks on the rear makes set-up nice and easy. If I ever get back into recording again, and go the analog route, I would buy this mixer without any reservations. Well worth the cash!

Great mixer
Great board for our worship setting. Lots of options for routing of mains, headphones, monitors, and recording. Like the usb port.
