Nice, lightweight case for transporting your PRS when you're able to maintain control of its handling and care. Might not stand up so well to the box kickers and gorillas playing guitar frisbee with your gear during airline transit. Quality construction, no offensive smells, and a nice, snug fit for my PRS SE Custom 24-08.

I nabbed a PRS Zack Myers single-cut from Ebay, and went looking for a case. Was all over the internet without finding any specific mention of an exact fit, and was shocked to see the latest high prices. Finally decided to ask for help from Sweetwater. Their rep took a few minutes to look thru inventory, and then began searching reviews for comments about fitting my particular PRS. He found several indicating the SKB hard shell case that surprisingly had a reasonable price. I can happily report a good fit for width and depth, and a small bit of foam covers the 1/2 inch length difference. Nicely done, Sweetwater!

I've been toting one of these around for years. It's fits whatever flavor of the month I get. Seriously it fits almost everything.
It's got 2 large smart compartments. No wasted space. The top to the compartments is the upper felt and padding so no little flap with annoying button to snap. Also it isn't as long as other cases. It's padded well but then cut about an inch or so shorter. So it fits in a truck, trunk or with a bunch of gear. Much less bulk. I got suckered into buying a Fender sonic blue case at a local music store. I hate it, it's going back today and I'm ordering this from Sweetwater. They set the bar and so does this case. Well thought out, you can back up over it with your car and it'll hold up (don't actually try this) and its priced great. Gig bags really stink unless you live in NY and take the subway. That is the only use for them other than kindinling.

I wanted to write a review on a case that was best suited for the Danelectro electric guitars. After searching the internet for recommendations on a hard cases that would fit my newly purchased Danelectro 59 Devine, I could never find anything conclusive. After asking my sales engineer, Drew Foster, he kindly directed me to the SKB-1SKB6 economy guitar case. After receiving the case I anxiously dropped the guitar in, and it fit like a glove. I believe it also accommodates the Fender Telecaster style guitars. I have several fitted SKB cases for other guitars and have been very satisfied with the brand. If you're looking for a hard case for your Danelectros, this is the one… Very satisfied.

Case fits the Vela which was one of my main concerns. I am happy to say that the case did not have a strong adhesive smell like many items nowadays have, that take days to dissipate. I live in a small apartment so this is a big deal as I would have to leave the item in my car for days to outgas before bringing indoors. The case provides adequate protection but does have some flex when opening and closing the lid unlike many wood cases. However its very light and does support the Vela nicely. I would definitely not use the case as a flight case or bang it around much but for local gigs and home use its just fine. It also fits my Vela with the PRS leather strap attached which is great. All in all its a decent case that does the job.
