Reviews

No hum!
With the jazz bass I was building from scratch for my son I wanted him to not have to deal with hum when only using one pickup. These definitely provided that.

Fender Ultra Noiseless Vintage Jazz Pickups
I had purchased locally ,a fender professional two jazz bass with stock pick ups. My frustration was ,if both of the pick ups were not in identical volumes, there would be an annoying significant hum.I really like to have a little more neck pick up available,or at least the choice. Otherwise, you only have a tone knob for any tone control. Online investigation indicated this was a common problem and solutions were varied. Shielding aftermarket pick ups, etc. I really wanted to keep it all Fender if I could. Michael Duncan was kind enough to spend 20 minutes on the phone ,to go over my options and thought this was a viable option.I heeded his advice ,purchased them from Sweetwater, they arrived in two days, had them installed locally and I am pleased to say they are entirely noiseless, most notably with the difference in volumes between pick ups. I could not be more pleased. I really did not t want go down the rabbit hole of multiple pick up swap outs. I would have probably sold the bass and looked for something else.Michaels patience and information were key to this endeavor. Thanks very much to Sweetwater and Michael from very pleased customer.

Will not fit all Fender Jazz Basses
Since no specs are provided on what Jazz bass these fit or their physical dimensions, be careful that you know what you are buying.

Tried to install these today. I was screwing in the neck pickup by hand and broke not 1 but 2 of the included screws. The sheared off just above where the threads start. Had to use pliers to remove what was left inside my bass.

They will not fit a Fender Mexican Jazz bass from the late 90s. Turns out the pickup lengths in those are the same but these are physically different. They are too tall and the bridge pickup is too long. Information both Fender and Sweetwater could have easily provided in the specs.

It’s impossible to imagine a world without Fender guitars, and if you’re like many of the guitarists at Sweetwater, then Fender not only made the first guitar you ever bought " they made the last one too! As one of the world’s largest Fender dealers, we have countless guitars, basses, amps, effects pedals, and accessories in stock and ready to ship, whenever you need them. We’re always getting our hands on their latest creations, and there’s nothing we love more than to tell our customers all about them!
