Get the Ultimate Tele Tone Now

For many guitarists at Sweetwater, the Nocaster creates the ultimate Tele tone. However, for most players, an original Nocaster is too rare and too expensive to purchase. So what is a Tele fan to do? Buy the Fender Custom Shop ’51 Nocaster Tele pickups, of course! These pickups are made to the exact specs that the original Nocaster pups were. They feature period-correct components to ensure that you get the same tone from the early ’50s. Enamel-coated magnet wire, flat pole pieces, Alnico III magnets, cloth output wire, and tin-plated copper base plate come together to create a set of pickups with enough twang to take the paint off of your walls — trust us. Both of these single-coil pickups have been hand-wound to ensure the highest quality possible. Reviews

Great sound with a bit of a kick
I put these in my American standard Tele along with a 4 way switch. Changed the boring white pick guard out for one I had customer made. I have a 50th anniversary Strat, a GLP, a PRS and Epiphone hollow body and this Tele with these pickups are easily my favorite of them all. Just what I needed for our gigs. FYI...we play Blues with a bit of a funk drive, and they sound spectacular.
Music background: Violin from 9 years, Drums from 10, guitar since I was 14... I'm 62 now and now that I am retired, been with a fun band for the last 3 years drumming and now playing guitar.
Holy cow
These pickups are absolutely fantastic—hands down some of the best Tele-style pickups I've ever played. Right out of the gate, the feel is exceptional. They respond beautifully to your playing dynamics, with an organic sensitivity that makes the guitar feel truly alive in your hands.

The bridge pickup delivers that signature Tele twang with bite, but never harsh—just full of rich harmonics and punchy presence. The neck pickup is warm and woody, with clarity and depth that make it incredibly versatile for anything from blues to jazzier tones.

What really stands out is how touch-sensitive they are. Whether you're picking softly or digging in, these pickups translate every nuance with stunning detail. Clean tones are crisp and articulate, and when pushed, they growl in the best possible way.
Indulgence
I ordered these for my AP2 Tele that sounded really good before. Had them installed and wow, it's possible for it to sound even better. I'm just a riffer and noodler, but I like my stuff extra. At the point in my life where I don't mind splurging on something that makes me happy. Almost completely noiseless. Don't even know the volume knob and the amp is on when it idles. Good stuff.
Happy grandpa
These pickups really sound great. It reminds me of my old fender from the 1950s.
Upgrade for a player!
Really like the punch of these. The neck, while not as drastic of a change, still has a clearer sound than the stock pickup. But the bridge!…o my. This was the sound/twang/ and bite I had in my head when thinking about a tele. Setup was a simple swap, however the height was a bit tricky at first. Figured with alnico iii's I could get them a lot closer, but once I backed them off a bit, the tone really cleared up. One side note I tested the resistance before installing them and did find the bridge was reading 6.7k rather than the advertised 7.13k. Nonetheless, I know resistance is a bit ambiguous of a way to judge a pickup, so dropped them in and am really loving them.
