The Working Guitarist’s Favorite Travel Companion

Who said craftsmanship, comfort, quality tone, and exceptional playability were too much to ask for in a travel-size acoustic guitar? Certainly not Martin, because its 000C Jr-E StreetMaster reimagines everything that a junior-model guitar can be and delivers a mature sound and exceptional playing experience that, thanks to the guitar’s size, you can always have with you. The 000C Jr-E StreetMaster starts with a body composed entirely of sapele, resulting in a powerful midrange, bright treble, and that signature Martin warmth. Likewise, a hardwood neck attached via a mortise and tenon neck joint and capped with a Richlite fingerboard provides substantial resonance, ultimate fretting comfort, and long-lasting durability. Though compact in stature, the 000C Jr-E StreetMaster is a full-scale model, clocking in at 24.9 inches. When combined with the Performing Artist neck profile, this guitar is primed for almost anyone to pick up and play. Finally, with the addition of the Martin E-1 preamp system, Sweetwater guitarists are able to take this guitar literally anywhere and everywhere. From the studio to the stage, from the bedroom to the beach, you’ll never want your Martin 000C Jr-E StreetMaster too far out of reach.

This fingerboard’s story

As ebony tree populations in the wild diminish, guitar manufacturers like Martin are turning to sustainable alternatives. The Richlite fingerboard on the 000C Jr-E StreetMaster is one of those! This stable wood won’t shrink or crack apart from the neck and feels sublimely smooth, much like ebony. Guitarists at Sweetwater say it has similar, if not superior, tonal properties to ebony. This Richlite fingerboard features 20 frets down its 24.9-inch scale, plus a comfortable 16-inch radius that’ll keep you playing your favorite licks all day long. Martin also designed the 000C Jr-E StreetMaster with a cutaway so that you can access as much of the Richlite fingerboard as possible. Combined with its sapele construction, the 000C Jr-E StreetMaster is one acoustic-electric guitar you will love playing.

Plug in or vibe out

It’s a Martin, so you know the 000C Jr-E StreetMaster sounds immaculate played acoustically, but you’ll be glad to know it’s also equipped with Martin’s E-1 electronics system. With the E-1, you can plug in at gigs or your recording interface to achieve a dynamic and natural sound. The E-1 features a pickup mounted at the bridge, with Volume/Phase and Tone controls mounted for discreet and easy access underneath the soundhole. The built-in chromatic tuner will also keep your 000C Jr-E StreetMaster sounding dialed in without requiring an instrument cable.

Martin 000C Jr-E StreetMaster Features:

  • Sapele body results in a delightfully projective and balanced-sounding acoustic-electric guitar with solid midrange, bright treble, and warmth
  • Richlite fingerboard looks and sounds like ebony, without chances for warping or cracking
  • 000 Junior 14 Fret Cutaway body shape and 24.9-in. scale fit in the hands of almost any player
  • Comfortable Performing Artist neck profile and 16-in. fingerboard radius
  • Mortise and tenon neck joint for abundant resonance
  • Martin E-1 pickup system yields natural, dynamic sound
  • Volume/Phase control, Tone control, and built-in chromatic tuner

Reviews

Immediate connection
The second my hands touched this beautiful guitar was magic. I don't write many gear reviews, but this guitar is very special. Playability, tone, finish quality, electronics and soul this instrument has are wonderful. I haven't been able to put it down. I even liked the soft case that came with it, very nice touch. Thank you Sweetwater for the excellent buying experience and fast shipping.

Great Sounding guitar
I have been looking for an acoustic guitar for a while. The sound of this guitar is full, warm and exactly what I was looking for. I've had this for a few weeks now and haven't been playing any of my electric guitars since getting it. It showed up Perfect and exactly like the photos. I wanted something with color other than the natural color. Thanks again Cory Medina for the recommendation and great customer service you always have ! I can't recommend Cory Medina enough for his service he's always provided me
Perfect
This Martin Jr has far exceeded my expectations and has become my favorite guitar to pick up. Very good tone and feel right from the start. It also looks amazing!!
I think I made the right decision
I was looking for a smaller guitar for my little one's birthday, something that fit an 12 year olds hands but wasn't a toy for lack of a better description. I had a few guitars in mind, but this came at the perfect time. I haven't had too much time to sit with the instrument personally, and that's my point, I haven't really been able to get it away from the little ones hand. I have heard nothing but raving reviews about how it's absolutely better than the previous instrument, and that's exactly what I was aiming for. I can say that I played it briefly and could tell the scale length is better than most short scale guitars in this size. It felt extremely close to my Martin, and I didn't notice it going sharp or anything with my heavy hand, it played very natural and has the same voice that I expected from a Martin.
I can safely say that this is not a toy by any stretch, it's a serious investment, and I think it's a perfect choice for smaller hands or something that is easier to travel with. The case is literally identical to my full size, so no compromise on that either. I'm guessing by the time my child inherits my Martin, this one will be standing tall as well. If one of these Jr's has caught your attention, I don't think you will regret spending some time with one…it really is a Martin.

Perfect
I felt an instant connection with this instrument. It arrived quickly and in mint condition. I prefer this over my GS Mini Koa; although this guitar has a smaller, more comfortable feel, it does not feel "mini." Has a solid sound and is easy to play for long sessions.
