This Wah Pulls Out All the Stops
Built from top-of-the-line components, the Fulltone Clyde Deluxe is a triple-voiced wah-wah pedal that's teeming with player-centric features. Its three selectable modes range from Colorsound-style grunt to Hendrix-ian vocalizing to Shaft-esque funk. Its variable Input Level control not only fine-tunes the effect but also allows you to add overdriven grit to your playing. Its authentic '60s-style inductor and custom-wound potentiometer give the Clyde Deluxe long-term reliability while imparting an ear-grabbing, vintage-tinged character. You also get a switchable, fuzz-friendly JFET buffer with a +20dB clean boost. Whether you're aiming for Voodoo Child-style texturizing, disco-infused funkiness, or something else entirely, the Fulltone Clyde Deluxe wah will be happy to oblige.

Top-of-the-line components
Peeking under the Clyde Deluxe's hood reveals a whole slew of first-class components. Its hand-wound, tuned-core inductor employs an identical design to a '60s-era wah pedal but with modern consistency and reliability, along with a nu metal cover that safeguards against 60-cycle hum. The Clyde Deluxe's custom-wound potentiometer boasts an identical taper and resistance to the vintage ICAR used in coveted '60s and early-'70s pedals. Moreover, the Clyde Deluxe's pot includes a triple-screened carbon-composition track, ensuring that it will keep working — reliably — for many years to come.
Three selectable modes
No matter what type of wah voice you're shooting for, the Fulltone Clyde Deluxe can achieve it thanks to its three selectable modes. In Wacked mode, you'll gain access to an effect reminiscent of a vintage Colorsound wah, which is famous for its extremely deep bass response. Jimi mode, which is the same voice as Fulltone's standard Clyde wah, delivers the sound of the late-'60s wah favored by Jimi Hendrix and Cream-era Eric Clapton. Finally, Shaft mode lets you get your funk on with the disco-tinged sound that was all the rage in the early 1970s.
Switchable buffer with boost
Wahs and high-gain tones can often have a contemptuous relationship with one another. That's why Fulltone included a switchable JFET buffer in the Clyde Deluxe. Not only does this circuit play nice with fuzz pedals, but it's also extremely transparent, leaving your wah sound completely untouched. The guitarists at Sweetwater appreciate that the Clyde Deluxe's buffer circuit includes a Buffer Level knob with a +20dB clean boost; it makes it one of the most useful wah pedals on the market.
