Create Lush Harmonies for Guitar, Vocals, and More

Add massive moving harmonies to your guitars, keys, vocals, and more with the Meris Hedra rhythmic pitch shifter pedal. Layer three independent voices under your original signal and set them to a selection of intervals ranging from two octaves down to two octaves up, with the ability to set the key and scale. With Hedra’s glide control, you can easily move from modern hard-tuned-style pitch shifting to more natural movements between notes. And, a Micro Tune control creates synth-like detuned effects to fatten or warp your signal. Additionally, Hedra’s four delay configurations serve up complex echoes and slapback effects for generating deeply textured harmonies. While ostensibly a guitar pedal, musicians of all types at Sweetwater have gravitated to Hedra. For solo singer/songwriters, it brings dimensionality to a vocal performance. Synthesists love it as a creative engine for taking their patches to the next level. Even those who play strings and horns are using Hedra to add experimental elements to their playing. A truly cutting-edge pitch shifter, there’s nothing quite like the Meris Hedra.

Deep feature set designed to inspire

Hedra’s streamlined interface grants you access to a host of creativity-inspiring features and controls. Select delay intervals for each of Hedra’s three voices for cascading pitched delays. Use the half-speed and auto-swell functions for morphing, tidal wave effects. You can even control Hedra’s voices via keyboard to play a live quartet with your fingers. Moreover, Hedra includes a multifunction expression jack for MIDI, preset switching, and tap tempo, and it allows for MIDI tempo sync. With Hedra, you have an entire musical ensemble at your beck and call!

Amazing

Absolutely hands down the best tracking pitch shifter around. Loads of creative possibilities.

Incredible

This pedal give you a big variety of harmonies to build along with scales. However, if you plan on using this live you most definitely need a midi controller as the pedal is extremely touchy - which is great because that just shows how up much control the user really has. I use this pedal for vocals, Best buy by far

Hail...Hedra

I'm a long time rhythm guitar , bassist and vocalist not neccesarily in that order, Ive always had bandmates to pull me along. ie since i'm NOT proficient at any of these instruments. But it hasnt stopped me from continuing to practice and get better for the past 40+ years! Now back to the hedra, Its bassically 3 FX units in one. Take some time with it and under stand that it does EXACTLY what you tell it to do. Learn how to use the 2nd layer actions and away you go. Hit a trouble spot no problem ...Restore to factory settings and have at it again. Triple X harmonies follow your playing, if you want or just "Pristine " the tone of your guitar. Its a fabulous unit. Cant wait to try it with vocals and midi. James Materson is my man and continues to go the extra mile.

This thing is crazy cool!

So first things first. If you buy this, READ THE MANUAL. There's a lot going on behind the knobs. This is not simply a knob per function device.

Now that's out of the way, this pedal is cool man. First thing I did was run some simple waves through it. It pitches sines, saws, and squares very very well. Dare I say, almost better than abletons warp algorithms. More complex stuff is a little iffy. And by complex, I don't mean a clean guitar signal or a vocal signal. I mean heavy harmonics, noisy and busy signals. I tried pitching a drum bus for the hell of it. It's not terrible at -2 or -1 oct. Totally useable if you're looking for a weird kinda lofi thing, but beyond that, not too functional. Still have more to put through this pedal, but so far I'm happy I bought. Definitely one of the better pitch shifters out there!

Amazing for bowed strings like violin!

Originally I purchased this for guitar and thought it was cool, but then I tried it on electric violin and thought this is one of the best things I've tried for violin ever. As a music theory buff and having the ability to harmonize different intervals in different keys, you can even harmonize in modes if you know what you are doing theory wise! I didn't get this for the wacky out there sound, but for the double and triple note harmonizations! It tracks very well and 'if" you play in tune, which I am hoping you do, this thing will sound glorious. The only downside to this unit is in a live situation it is hard to lock in the specific key with the knob, so I am going to have to get a midi switcher and set it up for the different keys and harmonies. I would learn midi just for this pedal, it's that good, and I don't like complicated set ups. But having a midi switcher set up and say ok, I want to harmonize in E minor in 6th's plus an octave would be amazing. Don't buy this for the glitchy weird sound, if you don't like that, just don't go there, there is plenty of cool, very natural, and very well tracked sounds you can get out of this unit.
