Strings For Your Baritone!

Ernie Ball strings have been a top choice for players of all types since the early 1960s, when guitarists came into Ernie Ball's music store, customizing their string gauges to make their axes easier to play. After fruitless attempts to interest major guitar manufacturers in a lighter set of strings, Ernie Ball decided to start making his own. When you open a pack of his strings today, you know you're getting a quality set of strings designed to give you great tone, reliable performance, and long life. You can't go wrong when you string up with Ernie Ball strings!

Ernie Ball 6-String Baritone Slinky are heavily used by both amateurs and professional musicians. Made from nickel plated steel (NPS) windings wrapped around tin plated, hex shaped steel core wire, Slinkys produce a well balanced, all-around great sound, no matter what your playing style. This is a set of Ernie Ball 6-string Baritone Slinky strings. They're round-wound for maximum clarity and serious punch, optimized for A-A or B-B tuning combinations.

Heaviest commonly found baritone strings

If you're downtuning to A standard on a 28" scale length baritone guitar, look no further than these strings. Lighter gauge strings feel floppy when tuned that low, whereas this set feels great. Just the right amount of tension, but still easy to bend and play. Big, chunky, fat sound on the low end with P90s. It almost makes my baritone feel like a bass; I love it, you may or may not.

But keep in mind - you may need to file your nut if you're coming from smaller gauge strings. I'm planning to take my Eastwood Sidejack Baritone to the luthier to get this done soon because I really absolutely love these strings.

Fantastic Baritone Strings

My new favorite baritone strings. They take tuning down to F# on 27" scale no problem, and have great tension even when taken into low tuning territory. They sound great - my only real gripe is that bulk pack discounts aren't available recently, always greyed out as unavailable.

Excellent, and I'm picky

These sound and feel the best out of all the brands I've tried, and there aren't that many that fit the 30 inch scale of my Gretsch 5260.

Fun for B standard and lower

To the guy who gave a 1 star review on the base of personal preference, what you doin man???
I use them on my Ibanez RGBI6 tyippcily B standard or A standard. Controlling the lower strings so there's auctuly dissonance can be a learning curve, but after that you can slam on these and have fun

Excellent electric high gauge strings

I tune my regular acoustic/electric to CFCFCF, and these strings have the best response and brightness for their size. Other strings this gauge in my setup sound much darker.
