i bought a beautiful vintage rickenbacker, the 12 string 360/12 ala george harrison, the byrds, tom petty, etc.

it included the vintage case, which of course i will keep. but my reasonably pricey investment flopped around like a fish in the vintage case (blue liner).

my amazing rep, andy miller, whom you all should insist become your rep (this guy is great to work w and very knowledgeable), gave me a square deal on a new case from sweetwater. (black liner).

well this new case is awesome. the guitar fits in this case like a hand in glove. as you may know the headstock of the 12 has an interesting configuration for the 12 tuning knobs. fits great, and i'm sure a regular 6 string would fit just as well.

the only thing they chintzed on, is that the modern case has no hinged inner compartment like the vintage or most fender cases do. maybe get the manufacturer to update, sweetwater?

overall this is a good looking case that appears to be durable. i love the case and i can now haul this guitar around safely to play. it's a great case. if you are considering one i say go for it :)

My 1969 330-12 fits snugly in its new case. No more rolling and bouncing around inside the old original silver Ric case for my baby. My new Beringer Wireless guitar system works perfectly with my Ric, so I ordered 3 more.

A Rickenbacker guitar deserves the best so use a Rickenbacker hard shell case to protect the investment.

I like these one-handed, single-action latches. They are fast opening and closing and have fewer things to get bent. The guitar is very snug fitting in the case recess so there is zero moving around in the case. I do wish "Rickenbacker" was embossed in the lid instead of the little corner tag.
