Stereo Sculpting Spanning Classic to Cutting Edge
From its streamlined UI to its versatile suite of customization tools, Arturia’s Rotary CLS-222 is the must-have rotary effect for any genre or style! Arturia’s engineers worked tirelessly to provide a software solution to bring the effect to your creative palette without compromising vintage, analog style. After painstakingly studying countless pieces of classic gear, Arturia faithfully captured the indelible sound of analog rotary effects, distillling into a plug-in that masterfully blends vintage character with modern production sensibilities. Even better for creatives, Sweetwater’s studio scholars agree the Rotary CLS-222 primed for use with sounds far beyond the historic keys and guitars that made the rotary effect such a sought-after sound.

Attenuating texture and space
Two main sections comprise the Rotary CLS-222’s interface, mirroring classic rackmounted gear. A preamp introduces the analog-style warmth that defines the classic effect, with two types of drive that can go from gradual to gritty. An optional rotor balance lets you weigh the effect more heavily on either the treble or bass ends of the spectrum, while your stereo image choices start at a standard mono, moving all the way to a 120% super stereo.
Down below, you’ll find a plethora of options to adjust the behavior of the emulated rotors, beginning with the pre-circuit highpass filter. Global speed is easily modified with a unique, 2-band control to individually adjust treble and bass rotations, or you can sync them together and lock them to tempo or oscillation frequency. A visualizer provides a real-time representation of the emulated rotations, which is exceptionally useful as you dial in the shape and behavior of the per-band rotors, including three shape modes from subdued swirls to evocative comb-style loops.
