UVI’s Shade is jam-packed with 35 unique filter shapes that range from digital to analog to something else entirely. With these filters, you can make transparent adjustments, tame unwieldy resonances, or create hardware-modeled warmth. Shade’s resonant filters boast discrete Q-Up and Q-Down controls, and all shelf and peak shapes provide continuous slopes up to 2,000dB/octave. At Sweetwater, we’ve used Shade’s filters to make subtle frequency adjustments, unleash resonant cacophony, and yield everything in between. You can create nonlinear phase-shifted sounds, craft weird notched-out textures, or even completely decimate a track — it’s a lot of fun!
