Reviews

Great plug in!
Since I'm a keyboardist, having this guitar app is a blessing. I'm still finding new ways to play it. I discovered it will play complex chords! Sus 4, m7,9, augmented. I think I've only scratch the surface. Very happy with this.
This virtual Instrument is great as it adds another professional session guitarist for your recording
I always ask my Sweetwater Sales Tech, Mike conyers before I purchase anything, as I trust his and the folks at Sweetwater's judgement and reccomendations implicitly! He said that I would not be disappointed with AAS GS-2 Strum and he was right on target, as I am thrilled with this product. I use it all the time and the quality of the instrumentation and playing caoability for my recording sessions is first class. Thanks to my Sales Tech, Mike Conyers for the affirmation and to the folks at AAS for producing a super product!
More Than What I Expected
Wow! This product is as advertised and extremely easy to use. You get acoustic and electric guitars to use in your songs and they sound so good! It doesn't take long to figure out how the phrasing and get to producing your next hit. Just buy it! You won't be disappointed!
Strum GS-2 Virtual Guitar
Had kept my eye on this plugin for some time. Very impressed with the realistic sound. Very easy to tweak the sound of the guitar using the GUI. Plugin worked flawlessly with Cakewalk Sonar Professional (I know, I'm looking for another DAW, but have used Cakewalk for years.) The price was right for such quality.
Music background: 50+ years guitar and some keyboard
Strum rocks the (bleep)!
My existing guitar resources felt increasingly static, so I settled on Strum because it covers both acoustic and electric guitars quite well. It has a small footprint because its a physical modeler, but its highly convincing. It sometimes sounds almost too clean, but the clarity of the model, broad tuning options and well-appointed effects deliver the goods. It took a couple of programming sessions for me to get a handle on its voice, but its scary-broad.

Your DAW may have beefier effects, but the ones AAS provides are impressive. The distortion in particular is well-tuned, from whisper to growl.
I bought M-Tron Pro because there is no way to really get that unique character unless you go to the headwaters. Strum does the same for guitars. It breathes in a way not heard from plugs that rely on stacks of WAV files. Its been 100% stable in use, too.

I'm not about to attempt a fake Christopher Parkening or Joe Satriani stance, but for lead soloing jobs or nice acoustic duets, Strum neatly takes over where the few basic sounds from bundles fall short. It hands you essentially all of the guitars you're likely to need.
Music background: Semi-pro in places, dedicated hobbyist elsewhere
