Bring Classic Analog to Your Studio with Cello
With its analog front end and hands-on controls, the JoeCo Cello is a compact 22-input, 4-output USB 2.0 audio interface for Mac and PC that brings the golden age of analog to your studio. Rocking a massive 125dB of dynamic range and maximum 384kHz resolution, Cello has impressed even the hard-to-please golden-eared engineers at Sweetwater. Cello's cutting-edge feature set includes a meticulously curated selection of dedicated effects that were developed in-house by JoeCo. The company's Adaptive Conversion technology offers new ADC and DAC filtering options that let you optimize the performance of your Cello based on your choice of sample rate and the source you are recording. JoeCo's proprietary Top+ algorithm provides high-end sheen for added energy and expansiveness. JoeCo’s already world-class clocking algorithms have even been rewritten specifically for Cello.

Two full-featured mic channels, DI, and line inputs
Cello's two mic input channels feature discrete analog mic preamps with 80dB of gain, so feel free to use your passive ribbon mics on quiet sound sources, plus highpass filters, pads, and phase (polarity) reverse buttons. Inserts points are incorporated into both mic channels for connection of outboard equipment. S/PDIF I/O and 16 channels of ADAT Lightpipe input are also provided for use with external preamps. Cello also features one hi-Z instrument input with adjustable analog gain, as well as 2 balanced line inputs/insert returns with adjustable gain.
Talkback, mastering-grade monitoring, and more
JoeCo designed Cello to set a new standard in AD/DA conversion clarity, transient accuracy, and sonic imaging — but they also gave it a smart feature set, including a built-in talkback mic, monitor controls, word clock and MIDI I/O, two headphone outs with independent low-latency headphone mixes, and more; while ensuring that Cello's mastering-grade monitor outputs maintain the sonic excellence throughout the signal path, from analog in to analog out. Cello handles the demands of high-end music recording and sound design with aplomb, melding classic analog warmth and crystalline precision.
