Save my equipment

I have a lot of music equipment have been collecting and buying and trading for so many years. Almost everything I've got is in a case for protection when moving from gig to gig show to show. I am so glad that I bought this case for my Marshall 1960B 412 speaker cabinet. On stage, it has the look of a beautiful queen sitting on the throne and everything else. It's just merely its servant.

Excellent piece of protection equipment

It's quality. I was very pleased with the sturdiness. This will work great for protecting my Plexi sized custom amplifier cabinet. My cab is the size of a 1960B Cab and it fit easily. The modular foam makes that a breeze. The latches lock tight and are heavy duty, the casters are also very heavy duty. For the price of custom sized road cases I believe this is a very fair deal for amp protection. There is enough room in the back for me to store cables etc inside the cab is well which is really nice. The flip up logo feature makes hooking the head up a breeze. The half door on the back makes for easy access for spare cables etc.,

The only reason this is getting 4/5 stars is because it arrived damaged and Gator refused to replace the panel that was busted. The front panel was damaged during shipping and has a hole and crack in it. Sweet water was able to make it right for me to keep. Sweetwater gets 5/5 stars Gator gets 4/5

Pretty Cool Cab Case...

This case does what it's supposed to. I have had no issues with it for the last 20 or so gigs. Excepting once wen I had to reattach the push lever to the breaking pad on one of the casters. No problem, put it back in place, and haven't had an issue cince. The reason for the 4.5 rateing is that the twist lock latches are not spring loded. they do get to ratteling from time to time, never hear it front of house; but onstage wen it does it it can definatly be heard. One other small issue is that the lid of the case has no foam in it. I know you can put the various sized blocks in there to make sure your cabinet doesn't walk on you during transit, but will be putting a full block in there to give myself a little more piece of mind. Overall, it is pretty awesome! And fits my Splawn 4x12 (29.5 x 29.5 x 14) very well!
Also, it will save you about 200+ bucks in comparison to custom manufacturers.

2014 Gator G-Tour Cab412

Heavy as a brick-house, but your getting the best of the best.
This fits the Marshall 1960 cabinet very well.
Gave a 4.5 because of the way they mount the casters to some iffy looking plywood, then bolt it to the bottom of the cabinet kind of iffy.

Brand New Gator G Tour 412 Live-in Speaker Case

The case itself is well built and rugged. I give it only a 4 out of 5 because the only problem with these big cases is that the case companies always want to save a couple of bucks on castor hardware. A case this heavy needs to have castors bolted to the case and not the cheap t-nuts and bolts they use. About half of the bolts wouldn't thread onto the t-nuts (which are very under-sized and inadequate for a case this size) and they ended up tearing out of the plywood base. There is no excuse for this on an $... case. A local trip to the hardware store and an hour and $10 worth of new hardware later fixed this issue, but I had to remove the base to fix the problem. Otherwise the case is great and all the extrusions and latches fit great.
