Bringing Back the '64 Sound

With its reshaped body, its trio of single-coil pickups, and its semi-hollowbody construction, the Rickenbacker 325C64 offers all the vintage appeal you could ask for. Based on a classic from 1964, the 325C64 combines a hand-carved maple top and back with a maple neck and rosewood fretboard. The reshaped cutaways provide excellent access to higher frets, while the instrument's shorter 21" scale length injects the guitar with a voice all its own. You know you've always wanted a vintage Rick from the glory days of the British Invasion. So get your hands on the Rickenbacker 325C64 before it's gone.

All-maple construction provides a bright foundation

Everything but the semi-hollowbody Rickenbacker 325C64's fingerboard is made from high-grade maple. Maple's density is partly responsible for the 325C64's famous top-end jangle and shimmer. Maple is also very stable, aiding in maintaining the structural integrity of the neck. You simply can't replicate the special magic of a Rickenbacker any other way. Add in the guitar's thick rosewood fingerboard, and you'll add a touch of visual sonic warmth to this premium instrument.

Vintage-style pickups and tremolo

Loaded with a trio of vintage single-coil Toaster Top pickups, the Rickenbacker 325C64 sounds as clear and iconic as you'd expect. With the neck and middle pickup wired together, the guitar's controls act as if only controlling a dual-pickup model. And in classic Rickenbacker fashion, tone shaping comes courtesy of independent volume and tone controls for each, a neck-blend knob, and a 3-way pickup selector switch. You'll also find Rickenbacker's vintage-correct and smooth-feeling Accent Vibrato with roller bridge.

Rickenbacker 325C64 Semi-hollowbody Electric Guitar Features:

  • Re-creation of a popular Rickenbacker from the British Invasion
  • Comfortable and compact 21" scale length
  • Semi-hollowbody maple body without soundhole feels lightweight and balanced
  • Maple set neck offers stability
  • Thick, bound rosewood fingerboard
  • Vintage single-coil Toaster Top pickups for smooth, sweet tone
  • 3-way selector with dual volume and tone controls
  • 5th blend knob for even more sonic variety
  • Vintage-correct Accent Vibrato with roller bridge

excellent axe No wonder lennon and Harrison both had one

The other reviewers were right on. The short scale takes some getting used to. I love the neck it's amazing. glossy, slick, beautiful, buttery. love those toaster tops and she is the most beautiful of all the Ricks in my opinion. Right out of the box i ran through I feel fine through my Fender Gtx 100 and after looping a few tracks i plugged in my Hoffner bass and if i could sing like John it would be perfect. Their not cheap and probably not for everyone but they are wonderful guitars. My next one will be a 12 string like Roger Mcquins.

The guitar that changed the world.

I always wanted one of these Rickenbacker 325's since I saw the Beatles play on "Big Night Out" in 1964. It's short scale (very small) and can be hard to play, but it's one of my favorite guitars. I hang it on my wall, in my room when the temp and humidity is just right and it makes my day every time I see it. It's built to the same exact specs as Lennon's 64 Rickenbacker for the Beatles second Sullivan Show in Miami Beach in 64. I consider it more of a novelty guitar (there have been a lot of strides in design since it's original design but owning a brand new one just played by you and you alone is a dream come true.

Thanks to Eric Bothwell for setting me up.

Rickenbacker 325C64

I received this guitar in late August,2022 and absolutely love it. It has a nice crisp sound that complements my other two electric guitars—a PRS McCarty 594 and a 1984 USA made Fender Stratocaster. The sounds of all three guitars are different, in a good way. You can tell this guitar is top notch quality. It's fast becoming my favorite guitar. The short neck does however take some getting use to, in that with my large hands forming an A chord can sometimes be challenging. However, the short neck does make it easier to span multiple frets. I highly recommend this guitar.

Completely Different and Insanely Good

First of all, if you're used to playing Fenders and Gibsons then expect there to be a bit of a learning curve to this guitar...but it's totally worth it!

This is by far the biggest sounding guitar I own and I have quite a few. It is quiticential rock and roll tone for days!

The tone shaping you can get out of this guitar makes it one of the most versatile guitars I've played. It can do everything from soft, gooey, mellow tones, to 'peel the paint off your studio walls' bright tones.

The shorter scale length also means the frets are closer together, so lead lines and chord changes require less movement. This is a super easy guitar to play, once you take the time to acclimate to the scale.

I love this thing! It's the one guitar I own that I can pull out for a gig or a studio session that is guaranteed to sound great and turn heads at the same time.

The Rickenbacker 325 C64

In the Fall of 1979,I purchase from Rickenbacker Guitars,The Rickenbacker Model 320,in Jetglo finish,no f holes, and Bigsby Handel like John Lennon's 325 V59,Purchased in 1960,and had modified in 1962 By adding a Bigsby Handel on it ,drilling holes on counter at Hessy Music Store in Liverpool, England by Jim Getty.l had written to Rickenbacker in1978,requesting information about The Rick 325 V63,and informed they stopped making them in 1974,So I purchased The Rick Model 320 in1979.
Music background: I've playing Drums since 1968,and played Rhythm Guitar.,for Ten Years.
