300-watt Bass Head Driven by BIAS Amp Pro

The Positive BIAS Mini Bass is destined to become the most versatile amp you've ever owned. If your favorite amplifier is big and heavy, capture its essence with BIAS's Amp Match technology, then load it into the BIAS Mini Bass for an easy-to-carry stage solution. You can also choose from thousands of downloadable amp models from the BIAS ToneCloud. The BIAS Mini Bass has enough power to push nearly any cabinet, or you can plug straight into a PA or console via its direct output. It also features an effects loop for integrating your external processors, and a built-in noise gate for keeping things tight and clean. The BIAS Mini Bass unlocks infinite tonal possibilities.

A Gig-ready Amp with the Flexibility of Software

Seamlessly integrates with BIAS Amp Pro software and app

As part of the BIAS ecosystem, BIAS Mini Bass is designed to be an extension of the acclaimed BIAS Amp Pro software (included) and the BIAS Amp app. You control the number and type of preamp tubes, transformers, tone stacks, speaker cabinet emulation, and even virtual microphone position. Once you've created your own custom amplifiers, tone presets, and Amp Match models, load them into BIAS Mini Bass's eight preset slots. It comes loaded with eight great tones to get you started, ranging from sweet clean sounds to aggressive high-gain tones.

Easy to upload new tones, even onstage

It's easy to update the presets in your BIAS Mini Bass. At home or in your studio, just connect the BIAS Mini Bass to your computer via USB to upload new tones. And it can connect to your iOS device via Bluetooth, allowing you to make last-minute changes to your presets using the BIAS Amp app even if you're at the gig away from your computer.

Re-create Tones with Amp Match

Capture the tone of any amplifier

Using the BIAS Amp Pro software, you can capture the sound of real amplifiers and put them in your BIAS Mini Bass. It's a great way to take the sound of your prized amplifier onstage while leaving it safely at home, and also a smart solution for matching recorded bass tones too.

Amp Match re-creates tones fast

Matching a bass amplifier tone with BIAS Amp Pro is easy — all you need is a recording of the amp or bass tone you're trying to re-create. Then you create a similar amp in the BIAS Amp Pro software as a starting point, tell it to match it to the recorded bass tone, and it'll tweak your custom amp to sound like the target amplifier. You can then use the preset within the software, or load it as a preset in the BIAS Mini Bass.

Download custom amp models on BIAS ToneCloud

Visit the BIAS ToneCloud to access thousands of custom amp models created by signature recording artists and other bassists around the globe. You can also upload your own custom amp models to share your tone with the world.

The last amp you will need.

I am a tone junky. I have somewhere between 15 and 20 amps laying around based upon the gig or recording session that I have scheduled. I was interested in this amp to see if I could take one amp that could cover 5 or 6 amps so I would only have to carry one to a session. I was not disappointed!

The Amp Match works very well when recording or going direct into a PA. However, when playing through cabinets, I prefer to craft my tone so that it matches the cabs that I choose to carry that day.

Imagine the ability to set the preamp to set the basic bass tone, then adjust the Transformer, Power Amp (how your volume knob responds), Tone Stack (how your tone knob responds (down to the frequency that the knobs impact), then 2 ways to shape the overall tone with parametric EQ).

There is a learning curve to understanding how to build your model, but that's the same with any amp or effects in this category, but once you get your method down, it takes about 15 minutes to build an amp from scratch.

This amp has earned its spot as my #1 allowing my to not have to carry my heavy all tube heads, boutique heads, and other high end heads to gigs or sessions.

Highly recommended!

Mini Powerhouse

I have the Bias Mini Bass which I use for both bass & guitar. This little amp allows me to take both my guitar tones and bass tones to recording sessions, live gigs and for use in my project studio. The sixteen presets give me a wide tonal palette. The blue tooth allows me to load tones directly from my iPad or Mac quickly. The MIDI capability of the unit also allows me to control the unit on the fly.

The tones and amp match capability allow for very accurate modeling of amps that I have and the tone cloud allows me to pull amp matches provided by Positive Grid as well as other artists.

I no longer have to carry a heavy amp and cabinette and can just plug in to existing PA for FRFR (full range, flat response) use or take a speakon or 1/4inch out to existing back line cabinets at the venue.

Now all I have to do is carry a guitar or bass and put the Bias Mini in my gig bag and I"m ready to go.

If you"re looking for a portable and reasonable amp for whatever you are doing as a bassist or guitarist, I would recommend trying the Bias Mini Bass for your live, session & practice for your rig. Amp modeling has come a long way over the last 10 years. And you will be pleasantly surprised by this little amps capability and accuracy to represent, react and sound like a real tube amp.
