The best you can get

Been using Bartolini pickups for almost twenty years got them in my warwicks and they are so smooth the even tone from low to high is incredible. There also reliable gigged hard and never had an issue. It’s the only pickup you should upgrade to. Huge Fan Arcane Sanctuary Nick

Worthy upgrade

I bought this pickup as an upgrade for a DIY fretless PJ bass I bought on Reverb that came fitted with Lace Sensor pickups. My Tobias Classic V with Bartolini soapbars on it are the best sounding bass pickups I've ever heard so I thought I'd trade up my new bass with Bartolini equivalent. They do not disappoint at all. This P-Bass pickup has plenty of output and authentic Fender P-Bass tone to satisfy my needs here. Definition is slightly better than the sensors which was what I was going for. This is the 3rd bass I've owned w/Bartolini pups and they've all been impressive.

MIDDLE OF THE ROAD

I put a set of these in a P-Bass build I was doing. Usually I go with Norstrand or DiMarzio DP-127 pickups but I've heard such hype about Bartolini over the years I thought I would give these a try. I wasn't impressed. Compared to the two aforementioned pickups these sounded weak. Noticeably so from what I am used to and the DiMarzio DP-127's are cheaper. The overall sound was pretty bland. Probably good for laid back music but not for what I play.These are trebley. Missing some oomph on the bottom end and low mids. You can do better for the price.

Not so great…..

So I bought this pickup for my 2012 American precision bass. I should have never swapped out the stick am p bass pickup, urs so much better than this Bartolini. Just like the other guy that reviewed this pickup; I'd have to say he's right on the spot, that the sound is pretty weak and unimpressive. I would not recommend these. Kinda really bright sounding and annoying.

Horrible

Didn't come with any screws or pads to install the pickups. Now I'm going to have to spend weeks having to find and order the pats I will need to install the $130 pickups...this is my last order from sweetwater, I will be deleting my account immediately after writing thus review.
