Excellent Choir Microphone!

I had used a different venue's 5100's to mic a children's choir in a large auditorium and i was astonished. I quickly bought two for my church and they have not disappointed at all. Even with an 11 person choir, that was a weak group, it sounded fantastic with two 5100's in a x-y pattern. Very clear and natural. Highly recommend.

VERY Underrated Microphone - One of my Go-To Small Condensers

I've used a fair amount of small condenser mics (even this mic is actually between a small and a large condenser mic), and this holds a special place for me for recording and live applications. First off, it's incredibly quiet. Second, it has huge headroom - you don't need much volume to get decent sound. Lastly, it sounds simply fantastic. It's at once up front but never sounds sibilant. It sounds very natural yet also flattering. Not sure how they do that.
I've used this on so many things: snare, hats, acoustic, percussion, electric guitar, and drum overheads (excellent!). It never disappoints. I like it better than most small condensers that cost twice as much. It will always have use because of how accurate and clear it sounds. For the price point, it's crazy that this mic isn't talked about more. I'm frankly shocked. I've been recording and doing live mixing for over 20 years. This mic should be in every studio locker and live sound guys' arsenal, and the home recording artist should definitely own one as a default mic.
