Turbocharged Performance in a Streamlined Package

Audient's iD24 takes everything amazing about the company's fan-favorite iD24 and packs it into a streamlined desktop interface. This 10 x 14 USB-C interface flaunts two of Audient's console microphone preamps, a JFET instrument input, multiple class-leading converters, ADAT expandability, and a DSP mixer. Its mic preamps boast the same circuit design as Audient's renowned ASP8024-HE console, with ultra-low noise and imperceptible distortion while maintaining a hint of the analog character you love. And with 60dB of gain on tap, you can use your favorite low-output ribbon mic on subdued sources. This unit's DI input provides harmonic enhancement modeled after the input stage of a classic tube amplifier. If you've craved the power and features of an iD44 but don't need that much I/O, the iD24 is the perfect audio interface for you.

Massive headroom and low distortion

One of the hallmarks of Audient's interfaces is their high-performance AD/DA conversion. For iD24, Audient's team of engineers pulled out all the stops, imbuing it with 126dB of dynamic range and a THD+N figure of 112 dB. Plug into this USB-C audio interface, and you'll notice more headroom, less audible distortion, and reduced noise in your signal than most other units in its class. With its outstanding conversion capabilities, all you have to do is press record. iD24 does the rest.

Connectivity to handle any recording or streaming situation

With its two optical input and output connectors, Audient's iD24 enables impressive expandability. It supports ADAT and S/PDIF, ensuring flawless integration with your outboard gear. It also adds up to eight channels of mic preamps to your rig. Two fully balanced insert points make it easy to integrate your outboard gear before conversion, letting you quickly insert your favorite vintage mic preamps, compressors, or EQs. Do you host a livestream in your spare time? You're in luck! iD24's built-in loopback functionality makes livestreaming a breeze. Whether you're working on new music or entertaining your followers, iD24 has your back.

Console-style monitor control

Taking inspiration from Audient's extensive analog console design heritage, iD24 features extremely flexible monitor control functionality that includes dedicated cut and dim buttons, along with polarity, mono, speaker selection, and cue mix monitoring. You can assign all monitoring functions to three programmable buttons without menu diving for inscrutable software-controlled features! Simply assign the monitoring functions you require and take control of your session. Engineers at Sweetwater love Audient's console-style approach to hardware control — and so will you.

Up to four stereo artist cue mixes

iD24's mix-focused iD Mixer software lets you create up to four stereo artist cue mixes. Additionally, it allows you to name and customize channels, save layout presets, assign hardware function buttons, quickly set up advanced routing, use presets in standalone mode, and much more. The iD Mixer software is tightly and elegantly integrated with iD24's hardware, streamlining the recording process by giving you complete control.

Powerful "center-section" functionality

A console's center section is its nerve center for communications and monitoring control, and iD24 is intelligently designed to replicate this powerful functionality. Press a button, and iD24's volume encoder becomes a virtual scroll wheel, allowing you to take control of your DAW, plug-ins, and more — as if you were adjusting a piece of hardware. Quickly dial in settings, tweak faders, or even write in automation without spending time staring at a screen.

Road-proof, all-metal chassis

From its high-grade components to its all-metal construction and hand-finished aluminum knobs, Audient's iD24 is precision engineered to give you years of reliable performance in the studio and on the road. iD24 ships with both a standard USB cable and a USB Type-C cable, so you can connect it to any USB-compatible Mac or PC that supports USB 2.0 and above.

What is Certified Open Box Gear?

At Sweetwater, we're so picky that what we call "Certified Open Box" is actually better than what most music retailers sell as "new" gear! Our gear hasn't endured hundreds of people a week plunking away at all the keyboards, fumbling through Stairway to Heaven on every guitar or playing with every fader and knob on a mixer or control surface.

Certified Open Box (also known as a demo) means we’ve had it out of the box for our YouTube channel, displayed at events, tested in our studio, or maybe it was in a customer’s hands for a few days and isn’t ‘factory fresh’ as a result. Every Certified Open Box item we sell has Sweetwater’s 2-year Total Confidence Coverage™ warranty and has been tested and verified up to ‘new’ specs by our factory-authorized technicians to make sure it’s in perfect working order before we ship it to you.

When you buy a Certified Open Box item at Sweetwater, you get:
  • 2-year Total Confidence Coverage Warranty™!
  • Products inspected and tested by our factory-authorized techs, guaranteed to function like new (or better)!

Reviews

A brilliant piece of kit that I would not hesitate to recommend

I opted for the Audient ID24 as a replacement for my ageing Focusrite Scarlett interface. The difference in sound quality was a revelation. Far superior sums it up. Easy to set up in Pro Tools and I had it up and running in minutes.

And all at a price point which represents unbelievable value.

Finally the build quality is outstanding. Built like a tank.

Compact & Capable
Switching over from my behringer UMC1820. Fits nicely for my small desk setup and on the go. The ID knob is really handy for quick adjustments. Just hover over any UI, and it works seamlessly with your amp sims.

What I like the most is the USB-C connection handles both power and connectivity, meaning fewer cables and a tidier workspace.

Maybe my only gripe is the lack of a comprehensive instruction manual out of the box. There's a bit of a learning curve to understanding the different routing options.

Installation integrates easily with my cubase.

Overall, it's a solid interface for the price
Exactly what I needed
I had purchased a budget audio interface when I first started out, but learned that once the recording volume hit 10:30 it started to distort and by noon I couldn't squeeze any more volume out of it. And the AD & DA converters distorted too. Recording electric guitars this maybe wouldn't be obvious but I record acoustic guitar and I couldn't get enough volume into the DAW.
I bought the Audient ID24 based on the specs and reviews about gain and clarity, and the acoustic guitars easily reach -12 and sound fantastic. My electric guitar amp sim goes right into the bypass input instead of an audio input like before.
The FET input is amazing - it sounds much better than my Radio DI boxes which I thought were the best you could get. It is good for both acoustic DI (at least as good as it could be) and for electric guitars even single coil.
The included ID software is functionally ok. I love using my MixCube as my second set of monitors and hot-keying back and forth, and also hot-keying between mono and stereo when mixing on the large monitors.
It's built like a tank. Love it. No second thoughts.
Audient is onto something
I've always been a Focusrite person when it comes to home studios and mobile recording, but lately I've noticed the buzz about Audient among my peers and on social media. Curious, I asked my gear advisor about it and got nothing but glowing reviews, so I decided to give it a shot. Once I brought it home and set it up, I was impressed by its solid build quality and loved that the controls are on the top instead of the front panel like most Focusrite products. The sound quality is excellent, and the preamps really make this device shine—it even has a world clock! With enough inputs to record multiple instruments and people at once, Audient has definitely won me over.

Sooo good
This interface sounds sooo good. Goodby Universal audio. I love the sound of this little interface much more than the 16 channel Apollo rack interface i was using. With UA, there was always an irritating digital thing riding on top after a lot of listening. This just sounds good and musical. Inserts are a huge plus!
For the price this interface is unbelievably good. I think it's great at any price.
