A Stunning Collection of Stompable AmpliTube Delay Effects

With the IK Multimedia X-Time, you can fill your pedalboard with a slew of meticulously modeled delay effects pulled from the company's vault of iconic hardware units. This next-generation DSP-powered guitar pedal arms you with 16 of AmpliTube's most popular delays, including studio-grade tape, reverse, and slapback, in addition to ping-ponging echoes, swells, and many more experimental effects. X-Time sports top-notch hardware with 24-bit/192kHz conversion, a 5Hz–24kHz frequency response, 123dB of dynamic range, and a pure analog dry path with switchable true/soft bypass — all in a rugged metal enclosure. On top of that, you're treated to rock-solid integration with IK Multimedia's AmpliTube software to tweak and save up to 300 custom presets. X-Time is equipped with a user-friendly USB interface, an expression pedal input, and comprehensive MIDI implementation. Plus, with its five built-in cabinet impulse responses, X-Time turns your pedalboard into an all-inclusive grab-and-go rig when placed at the end of your signal chain. Finally, X-Time ships with a free copy of AmpliTube 5 SE, so you're ready to go from studio to stage in an instant!

Loaded with state-of-the-art AmpliTube DSP

Like all of IK Multimedia's X-Gear stompboxes, X-Time packs the company's acclaimed AmpliTube processing into a cutting-edge, pedalboard-ready enclosure. X-Time offers 16 hyper-realistic emulations of real-world modulation devices, putting an array of tried-and-true tape, analog, reverse, slapback, ping-pong, and more delays conveniently at your feet. Beyond that, this pedal's X-Mode supplies you with extra signal-boosting features that are guaranteed to impress.

Top-of-the-line hardware with audiophile-grade specs

IK Multimedia went all-in with regard to the quality of X-Time's hardware. The stompbox's audiophile-grade components include ultra-low-noise, 24-bit/192kHz conversion for leading-edge sound, plus a 5Hz–24kHz frequency response — more than enough to capture your guitar's full sonic range. You also get an impressive 123dB of dynamic range, ensuring that every nuance of your playing is reproduced, from whisper quiet to maximum overdrive. The guitarists here at Sweetwater appreciate X-Time's pure analog dry path, and its switchable true/soft bypass provides enough control to satisfy top-level players.

Mega-tight integration with AmpliTube software

X-Time comes with a matching plug-in for AmpliTube, enabling you to open a virtual X-Time stomp inside of the software. Thanks to this mega-tight hardware-software integration, you'll be able to tweak your hardware's parameters using AmpliTube's award-winning workflow, then save them as one of up to 300 presets that you can recall directly from the pedal. 2nd review

Got this pedal a couple months ago. Great sound, warm. I have a Strymon delay as well. They are 2 different beasts. The IK X-Time does it's thing as well as Strymon does it's own thing.
Solid build, looks and feels great. I tried this pedal about a year ago and had a problem, it died after 3 days. (Sweetwater return.)
Thought I'd try it again and I'm glad I did.

OMG!!! 2nd look...

At first I thought, this pedal was very much not user friendly and hard to use...I read through the manual and got this idea, hummmmm, what if I set the PITCH delay mode to zero MS and zero Feedback and dialed in like 5th dwn or an 8va, wow, ...a totally latent free polyphonic glitch free octave pedal! Better than my Whammy DT (which I love on a 5th dwn harmonizer mode) it was and better than any octave pedal I have tried to use lately, plus the shifted notes are true note and not some synthy sounding crap. The POG upper octave and the tones of the Boss OC5, arghhh.
Anyway, I was frustrated trying to find some tones as all the factory stuff is as one would guess, WTF. Pitch delay mode just kills, many delays will not go 0ms but this puppy does! Zero latency polyphonic tracking, worth the price of admission right there.
Can't wait to see what awaits thinking outside the box. What about a shimmer or other special delay using low or zero ms delays??? Could this be the gateway to some really cool tones without thinking everything has to repeat in delays?? It's still a little hard to navigate around, Global and multi params give me fits, and I don't want to use the PC editor really, first time I messed with it I erased all my stuff (my bad I know).
But seriously, fan of the POG, Whammy, or some other octave pitch shifter? Check this thing out. Not to leave out std delays got some cool stuff on tape, pingpong and ducking that are really cool. This is a good unit just maybe takes a learning curve and some thought. I am sure more unique stuff is in there waiting to figure out how to dial it in.

Amazingly versatile pedal!

I definitely recommend reading through the manual to make sure you understand how to navigate the pedal if you're not familiar with a pedal like this. But once you get he hang of it, it's such an amazing delay pedal! So many different types that are genuinely studio quality. I agree with the other reviewer that the switches are quite noisy. But other than that, I've had a great experience with it so far!

top shelf delay on par w anything out there

There's a lot here to undertake and it would seem more stuff than you will probably ever use or have a need to use. So many storage slots it is crazy. Quality of the modes is studio grade, IK Amplitube stuff is really high end, and just tons of great tones in here. I am just trying to set up some more basic usable delays as the crazy stuff just goes off into oz for me. Will take some time to grasp it all and it seems you need to hook up the USB to PC or Phone thing to really edit some things. There's plenty of experimental ambient wash stuff in here and the reverb unit. Some critics I have are 1) you have to cycle through the double footswitch a million times to get through the banks, I am sure you can shortcut on the PC editor but it was not my goal to have this puppy hooked up all the time, it's OK I guess if you just use the first few. 2) if you adjust a param on a preset you cannot tell where it was it just starts where you have the knob, not a big deal but a flash would be nice for the position like on Strymon. This is not easy to use and I found the million presets not to be of much use for me so I need to start from scratch on the basic modes I like. Be nice if there was a preset clear to have blank I guess you have to set that up and copy it. Not a big deal as factory stuff is never that useful anyway. Has some really cool modes and the head room fidelity seems to be just great. I am sure after the learning curve I will love it. A real bang for the buck, yes my Strymon Volante was easier to use and dial in and this can't do the Echorec thing but again an acquired taste and use. Far as basic tape stuff, ping pong and what not it's all here. I changed from Strymon to these units and so far I am happy with the many additional abilities.

Hmmm…

Got one of these a couple weeks ago. The unit sounds great, then on about the third day, display went dark and unit quit. Sent it back. Not going to replace it at this point. Not sure what to think of IK quality control. Maybe I just got a defective unit, we'll see over some time if others have the same issue.
One other point, the foot switches are quite noisy.
