Neck-through construction not only transfers string energy exceptionally well, but it helps make the bass incredibly stable. Steinberger even goes so far as to call it "practically indestructible." The lack of headstock and traditional tuning machines also do away with annoying neck dive.
Double-ball tuning and bridge
Tuning and stringing your Spirit XT-25 is done at the bridge. The direct-pull bridge is outfitted with 40:1 ratio machine heads for easy tuning access. Steinberger's patented fixed bass bridge accepts double-ball strings. This design has no winding around a tuner post, so you won't ever have to worry about the string slipping or stretching out of tune.
Travel friendly
