Headlined by two world-class grand pianos, the Korg XE20 gives you a huge palette of more than 700 premium sounds that comprise electric pianos, organs, synth pads, brass, strings, drum kits, and more. The XE20’s German Piano is sourced from one of the world’s most famous piano builders and is coveted by acclaimed pianists for its versatility and expressive power. It’s distinguished by its bold tonality, brilliant upper register, and nuanced bass range. The Italian Piano is also celebrated worldwide for its mellifluous resonance and sensitivity to your playing style.
Auto accompaniment takes your performances to the next level
The XE20’s automatic accompaniment Styles automatically generate a full backing band based on the bass note or chord you’re playing with your left hand. The AI-driven smart accompaniment will change to complement what you play, making it easy to play along with the accompaniment by improvising a melody with your right hand. Over 280 different styles are onboard, representing musical genres from around the world. Each style includes four variations ranging from simple to complex, plus an intro and an ending for the beginning and end of the song. These are readily accessible via buttons that let you easily switch between variations in time with the rhythm to add variety to your performances.
Record your music
Once you have your song arranged, you can record your performance on the XE20’s 12-track (4 keyboard parts + 8 auto accompaniment parts) song sequencer. In addition to your own songs, you can use Song Mode to play back onboard demo songs, MP3s, WAV audio data, or standard MIDI files from commercially available USB flash drives, and perform along with the playback.
Powered speakers for powerful playback
XE20’s speakers have been designed to deliver the full power and clarity of your musical creations. Korg’s new playback system is designed to improve the overall balance of an arrangement, so that the low frequencies of the bass and drums will punch through with full impact, while also allowing the piano to be heard clearly in the mix.
The touch of an acoustic piano
Korg spec’d the XE20 with their Natural Weighted Hammer Action (NH) keyboard that provides the realistic feel of the hammers on a real acoustic piano in which the low register is heavier, and the high register is lighter. The keybed is sensitive and responds to nuanced touch, while three touch control settings let you fine-tune the action to your particular playing style.
Bundled software for practicing and creativity
The XE20 comes bundled with free software that includes Skoove’s award-winning piano teaching software to help you improve your playing; Korg’s Module app, which provides access to even more sounds; and the Korg Gadget 2 Le DAW music production app. With its expressive hammer-action keyboard, great sounds, and creativity-enhancing features, the Korg XE20 delivers the full concert performance experience at home — and away.
