Road tested by Eddie himself
To say the EVH Wolfgang is "road tested" would definitely be an understatement! Wolfgang prototypes were put through a full year of tortuous in-concert road testing by Eddie on Van Halen's triumphant 2007-2008 world tour. As the tour played out, Eddie tweaked specs and components until he was dead-sure about the Wolfgang's tone, playability, and visuals. The result is a bulletproof and beautiful guitar that takes all the abuse you can muster and then comes back for more.

The EVH Wolfgang guitar is built to Eddie Van Halen's exacting specifications and sports every last feature of the Wolfgang guitars he himself plays onstage and in the studio. "Everything that I've built, destroyed, stumbled onto, learned and experienced is in this guitar," says Eddie. "Every aspect and component of this guitar has been examined and upgraded to the highest standards possible — stainless steel frets, double-potted custom-wound pickups, five-piece binding on the matching body and headstock, custom-made signature tuning machines and Floyd Rose bridge, new low-friction pots, and the list keeps going. We left no stone unturned."

From its basswood body and luscious 1/2-inch-thick arched AA flame maple top to its quartersawn maple neck and buttery ebony compound radius fingerboard, the EVH Wolfgang just screams quality — and that's just the tonewoods! This dreamy guitar is made for serious playing, with dual graphite reinforcement rods in the neck, a Floyd Rose Original locking nut and EVH Floyd Rose vibrato, and — of course — powerful EVH humbuckers.
