Finally found my drumsticks!!!
I'm a vocalist, a guitarist and a drummer. Drums were always what I wanted to play. Long story but I taught myself guitar, I fell backwards into singing and taught myself that. Keeping a beat has always come natural to me.
I played drums time to time when our drummer couldn't make it to practice and at home. Then I came to a point I had to get in shape so I started playing drums 2 hours a day for cardio. I got much much better. I surprise myself now. I switched from light to heavy thick to thin trying to find the right drumsticks. I'm no spring chicken. Also have a lot of joint issues, so I had set my kit up as ergonomic as possible. These sticks are perfect for my set up. The length is so great. If they slip a little off the fulcrum for rebound just a slight flick and rebound is still on point and I can adjust. I finally made it through Motörhead Ace of Spades and Rush Fly by Night. Usually end with Iron Maiden and my heart rate is up. No more shoulder or hip pain. Some muscle soreness thouh lol
Music background: Self taught, gigging band writing original songs.
Nice Sticks! Extra Reach When You Need It.
Back into drumming after a 30 year absence (DJing Hip Hop/Turntablism has taken up my musical time since 1990), I finally decided to get a kit and get back to it. I used lighter and longer sticks back in the day on my acoustic set and looked for the same (maybe even lighter) for my new Alesis Strike Pro SE electronic kit. These Questlove signatures looked good from the get go and once I finally got a chance to play with them they felt right at home. If you're use to playing with shorter sticks these might seem a bit funky at first, but you can choke up on them as needed. For me the weight and length is perfect to sit back and play a relaxed style without having to make any far reaches to the edges of the kit. I call it "Low Rider Style". I get plenty of pop without trying on the electronic kit as I'm sure once I get a chance to play an acoustic set I should be able to do the same (the Alesis has velocity triggers on the heads so you can play soft to medium to louder depending on how hard you strike the drumheads). Depending on the style of music you play these could cover some or all of it. I really like these and plan on keeping an extra pair or two around. If you like these also checkout the 7A Freestyles. They are just a hint different but also give you the reach if you want it. I like the 7A Freestyles also and will play with those depending on what I'm trying to do. Regardless, if you like a longer stick, check both pairs out, I'm glad I did. Enjoy!

Definitely Recommended
These sticks are what I needed It gives a vibe of a 7A stick but a little longer also it gives a vibe of the vic firth freestyle 7a but a little lighter and the weight of the stick is not too heavy but its just right I definitely will recommend to any drummer that is looking a light long stick with a good rebound
Music background: Drummer who plays Gospel and R&B
Best sticks I've used!
Make you work alot less and rebounds are much much easier!
Music background: Multi-instrumentalist, professional musican
Physical Efficiency and Great Sound
I bought these out of curiosity more than anything else, but I've fallen in love with them! They accomplish what they were designed for—optimal sound with a light touch. Amazing balance—they're skinny but if you hold them lightly at the back, still plenty of weight to get a great sound. The extra length allows for more reach for the sweet spots, and also for less motion and better posture (and I'm not as tall as Questlove!). And the tips and tapers seem great for everything I want to do on cymbals.
