Love these sticks. I used to use 5b and pulse which no longer makes drum sticks or at least I can't find them anywhere. I switched to vic firths and Ill never use another stick. The feel the weight the durability, amazing. There's a reason why they're are pricey. They're well made and Well worth the price.

I have tried many sticks even expensive ahead sticks but nothing amount to the feel of classic Vic firth 5as there so strong and versatile

Probably the most versatile stick out there. Nice articulate tip, a taper that balances rebound and power, and a shaft that should feel comfortable in most hands. A jack of all trades that will work in all but the most niche musical settings. I think of it as the baseline stick. I may prefer something with a longer taper when I'm feeling jazzy, or something with more power when I need to rock, but I can always depend on a 5A. The maple version is great if you have a lighter touch.
