The ULXD2/KSM9 comes with the stellar Shure KSM9 capsule, which captures clear articulation and vocal subtleties from 30Hz to 20kHz, offers over 120dB of dynamic range, and has a switchable polar pattern (cardioid and supercardioid options). However, you can easily replace the KSM9 with one of nine other Shure capsules that work well with this transmitter, for varied sonic results. The Shure ULXD2/KSM9 Handheld Wireless Transmitter can be operated for up to 11 hours on two AA batteries. It can also be powered with the optional Shure SB900A lithium-ion rechargeable battery, providing up to 12 hours of continuous use between charges. The LCD display on the transmitter will show you how much runtime you have left in hours and minutes, so you never need to fear losing signal because of a dead battery.
