Game Changer

I've been playing out for awhile as half of an acoustic duo. I wish I had this pedal from the get go. Everything sounds better and I have so much more control all in one pedal. No more daisy chaining pedals. Reverb, chorus, delay, tuner, boost, all in one. Love it.

Great All in One

I picked this up for our church. I also got the bass version. These are simple and versatile. Not to mention they are compact. I would recommend it for the church environment where you have several volunteers looking for an easy and affordable solution.

It's the answer to acoustic guitar sound.

I've had the Transit A for a month. OK, I admit that I usually don't trust one-month reviews, but this thing is so purely straightforward, I can't imagine that my opinion will change much over time. The case is metal, and the stomp switches and pots seem rugged enough. It's a pre-connected chain of reverb, delay, chorus and boost pedals plus volume and EQ, all in one box that takes up far less space than individual pedals do. I plan to use it as a backup to my acoustic guitar pedalboard.

The analog controls make it great for rehearsals where you need to make real-time adjustments, rather than the more complicated pre-programming required with most multi-effects pedals. There's a single knob to adjust each effect. Left and right outputs provide a nice stereo chorus effect. The notch filter feedback control works great. The gain control adds a little grit to the sound, when needed. I've plugged in a passive piezo, an active piezo and a Tele with single-coil pickups, and with the right EQ, they all sound good.

I appreciate that the power supply is included. If you plan to add the Transit A to your pedalboard, understand that it requires 9 vdc at 1 amp.
Music background: Multi-instrumental, gigging hobby musician and home recording.

What Do Our In-house Gear Experts Think?

James Lorann

I’ve been playing electric guitar for 30 years, and I was recently asked to play acoustic for my church. I started looking for a pedal to add some fullness to my acoustic. After trying out the Transit A I was hooked! With the onboard EQ with piezo and notch filter controls, it was easy to shape my sound and avoid any trouble frequencies. And the reverb, chorus, and delay took it to a whole other level. As an added bonus, the tuner worked great and kept me in tune the entire set.
