D'Addario Thumb Picks

Grab a pack of D'Addario Thumb Picks and see how comfortable they are. Get the big tone and great feel that only celluloid can provide. Celluloid was first used in the early 1900s as a replacement for tortoise shell picks. They produce a warm and fat tone that metal won't. D'Addario Thumb Picks are designed for a comfortable playing experience. They are suitable for use with guitar, banjo, lap steel, pedal steel, or pretty much anything you want to use them with. Discover a new tone and feel with D'Addario Thumb Picks!

Nice and tight fit

I have been using National thumb picks, and found when I bought a bunch, they varied in size with some rather loose. These (D'Addario) picks seem more uniform in size and substantial thickness to be durable and fit tight. I bought medium size both brands and D'Addario seem a bit tighter fitting. In my experience, plastic picks gradually get looser over time. All 5 of these (D'Addario) picks are quite usable as-is. The Nationals varied and I could only really use a few as is. I found a trick - use very tiny rubber bands that fit tight and put them where the pick bends. They will fill the gap on a loose pick, and also grip better to keep it from slipping. You can tighten older loose picks and make them useful again. I can play more aggressively with the tiny rubber band in place. These are nice picks for guitar (3 finger Travis/Chet Atkins style). Haven't tried them for banjo yet.
