The Classic Telecaster — Refined
Based on the highly sought-after “Japanese Vintage” reissued Fender guitars from the ’80s, the Fender JV Modified ’50s Telecaster offers a refined take on a classic electric guitar. Dual vintage-voiced single-coil pickups yield the iconic Tele tones that make it such a versatile instrument for a variety of styles. Four-way switching offers a wide sonic range to explore, expanded by the push-pull tone control which allows access to out-of-phase tones too. Complete with a stout Thick Soft “V” neck profile with satin finish for fast playability, there’s a lot to love about the Fender JV Modified ’50s Telecaster.

Go beyond classic Tele tones
The vintage-voiced single-coil pickups on the Fender JV Modified ’50s Telecaster deliver all the chime and grit that have made the Tele one of the most-recorded guitars in history. Four-way switching allows you to select either pickup individually, both pickups in series, and both pickups in parallel — and that’s not all. Activate the push-pull tone control for out-of-phase tones in positions 2 and 4, giving you more sonic versatility than most stock Telecasters can offer.
Vintage-style neck with modern fretboard radius
The Fender JV Modified ’50s Telecaster’s maple neck is shaped with a Thick Soft “V” profile, with a satin finish that gives it a fast and smooth feel. The Thick Soft “V” profile gives this guitar a stout feel without inhibiting playability, particularly favored by “thumb over the fretboard” players at Sweetwater. And while this thicker profile is a nod to vintage Fender guitars, its more modern 9.5-inch fretboard radius will feel right at home for most players.
