A long-awaited axe, the Fender John 5 Ghost Telecaster makes its spectral entrance to our Sweetwater shelves. This monolith of monstrous tone sports a ghostly exterior that harnesses the sonic spirit of John 5 himself. A true modern-day virtuoso, John 5 is revered for his technical chops that span lightning-fast arpeggios to countrified chicken pickin’ to downright nasty riffs. John 5 has spent time shredding for Rob Zombie, Alice Cooper, Mötley Crüe, David Lee Roth, Marilyn Manson, and many more. It’s no surprise that John 5’s signature guitar would be a Tele, but the sheer look and sound of this specter raise the bar compared to his past signature models. Robed in a cool Arctic White gloss with red appointments and a pair of DiMarzio humbuckers, the Fender John 5 Ghost Telecaster will surely raise your hair on end with its unearthly qualities. The Telecaster with a supernatural bent
After John 5 saw a Fender Strat with a white painted fingerboard, he had to have one. At his behest, Fender emblazoned the John 5 Ghost Telecaster with its all-white appearance marked only by glistening chrome and blood-red appointments. It looks sublime, but how does it play? In one word: supernatural. Fender started with a classic tonewood choice of alder for the body, binding it with a striking red across the top. The maple neck in classic Telecaster shape feels superb in hand, lending itself to John 5-like breakneck fretting speeds. Apart from its expertly crafted tonewoods, the Ghost also comes with a 6-saddle Tele bridge, block steel saddles, and deluxe locking tuners. In other words, your tuning isn’t going anywhere. So run through your spine-tingling repertoire of hard rock riffs or lightning-fast picking, the Fender John 5 Ghost knows no earthly breaking points.

Can’t-believe-your-ears tone
The Ghost’s exterior bears testimony to its sonic capabilities. Two DiMarzio D Activator humbuckers spew sonics enriched with harmonic qualities and notes that sing. These passive pickups don’t suffer from sterile edginess or drops in volume when switching from pickup to pickup. No battery required, tons of headroom, and swift pick attack response — this guitar’s tone walks through walls and then some. As for other electronics, the Ghost offers up a 3-way toggle switch for pickup selection, a volume knob, and an arcade-style kill switch.
