In 1968, Fender built two all-rosewood Telecasters and sent one to George Harrison (the other was to go to Jimi Hendrix). George immediately bonded with the instrument and played it heavily on Abbey Road, Let It Be, and even for his guitar parts on Cream's "Badge." But it was the Beatles' final concert on the roof that cemented that guitar as one of the most important in rock history. The body and neck are both multi-piece rosewood with a maple spacer in the body.
