If you're a bass player, you're probably tired of lugging your amp around every time you play a gig. Ashdown's Studio 10 combo bass amplifier can help you with that. Providing unmatched weight reduction, this 60-watt amp is lighter than most without sacrificing the most important thing — tone. Thanks to a 5-band EQ and Shape control, this amp is a breeze to dial in. The Studio 10 is loaded with a custom-designed 10" sealed speaker for a balanced tonal response. It also has awesome features such as its built-in valve-simulated overdrive and a passive/active input. And when bassists at Sweetwater tested the Ashdown Studio 10, they loved the headphone-out feature that let them practice quietly.

Flexible tonal options

The Studio 10's control panel lets you experiment with an almost unlimited array of sounds. You can dial in your perfect tone using the same 5-band EQ found in the Ashdown Rootmaster and OriginAL ranges. If you like to push your amp a little harder, the Ashdown Studio 10 has a built-in valve-emulated overdrive and pre-gain shape controls.

Lightweight construction saves your back

The Studio 10 is made from a super-lightweight poplar ply to help keep the weight low. Even the speaker was specifically designed by Ashdown to reduce weight. At just over 15 pounds, the Studio 10 combines lightweight portability with the durability you need.

When you take this amp out of the box, you'll love the clean, vintage-looking face. Heavy-duty black tolex and chrome corner protectors will help you protect your amp from scratches and bumps for years. Surprisingly great bass amp

I got this as a practice amp and to my surprise it works in a band setting. I was on guitar and a friend of mine was using my bass amp, it's able to keep up with a drum set. It's an awesome little amp and it sounds great as well, I highly recommend it to anyone who wants it.

Unfortunately got a bad one.

I was really excited to get this as a home practice amp. I was initially leaning towards a smaller amp than this, but somebody suggested that this might keep up with drums if the occasion ever called for it so I spent a little more even though I wasn't neccisarily planning on jamming with it. When I first opened it I loved it. Dialed in the tone and it sounded amazing at low levels. However, as soon as you approach moderate volume levels with bass at only 10 O'clock, each note lower than C started with what was like an ungrounded buzzy sound before bouncing back to the normal smooth sound.

I have only ever had one smaller bass amp before, but even though it would struggle when cranked, it didn't have any problems at normal practice levels. I assume since this was happening without the amp being cranked that it must have been defective so I returned it and ended up going a totally different direction and got a Rumble 100 and am extremely happy with it.

The studio 10 sounds so good tonewise that even though mine had an issue I still give it five stars. For solo practicing it is great. You can even practice "loudly", but you lack the ability to be obnoxious with it and it definitely wouldn't keep up with drums.

I was disappointed that mine had a problem, but I am extremely happy with the MUCH louder and more fun to rock out with Rumble 100.

BTW, Sweetwater customer service was as good as everyone says.

Very good looking amp, seems nicely made for sure. Very pokey when cranked up in anger and also sounds
Really nice at lower volumes, round and full.

Also very light and easy to carry which is a a bonus
