The trademark Strat sound - plus!The original Strat had three single coil pickups, so it was able to produce sounds that no other guitar could deliver, particularly once guitarists discovered they could lodge the three-position pickup selector blade in those "in-between" positions to access neck / middle and bridge / middle pickup combinations. These were often erroneously referred to as the "out-of-phase" settings. The Deluxe Player's Strat ships with premium Classic Noiseless Strat pickups and a five-way blade switch, so you can easily access the extra pickup voicings. But that's not all! Like the original Super Strat, it adds a special push button that activates the bridge pickup in positions 4 and 5, giving the Deluxe Player's Strat seven possible pickup combinations for extraordinary tonal possibilities.
