A Powerful New Supercharged Strat

Not content with building the most successful - and most widely imitated - guitar on the planet, Fender took the Stratocater back to the drawingboard and asked, "How can we make this better? Hotter? Faster? Sleeker?" Fueled by some of the most popular after-market modifications already factory-installed, the American Strat HH offers a wealth of options including a variety of pickup configurations guaranteed to unleash a vast array of tonal possibilities! Fender American Strat HH Hard Tail at a Glance:

  • Select alder body with solid black polyurethane finish.
  • Two humbucking pickups: Sidewinder (neck) and Black Cobra (bridge).
  • One-piece maple neck and rosewood fingerboard with modern "C" shape.

Ultimate Tonal Versatility in a Timeless Classic Though the original Stratocaster was first introduced more than 50 years ago, it's more popular now than ever! But Fender refuses to simply maintain the status quo. The new American Strat HH Hard Tail has the sleek, classic Strat profile, but it's also the culmination of many years of R&D. While still a Strat, this guitar lets you explore virtually uncharted sonic territory with its combination of two splitable humbucking pickups, a five way blade switch and Fender's exclusive S-1 Switching. What's more, the American Strat HH looks great, from the black, jewel-like polyurethane finish to the black pickguard, knobs and pickup covers. The minute you plug in the American Strat HH, you'll know this is truly a guitar that's worthy of the Fender legacy of quality and innovation. It's the culmination of thousands of hours of research and development, all of which has led to the creation of this superb new instrument! The Trademark Strat Sound The original Strat had three single coil pickups, so it was able to produce sounds that no other guitar could deliver. The American Strat HH gives you instant access to all those classic, glossy Strat tones with a simple flick of the five position switch, but then it ups the ante with brand new sounds that are unlike any Strat that's come before Whether you play lead or rhythm, blues or jazz, or just plain want to rock out, this is the guitar for you! Imagine being able to call up any one of ten dynamite pickup combinations like the inner coils of the bridge and neck pickups in parallel and in series with the outer bridge coil. Trust us on this one: You won't find a more playable, more versatile guitar at anywhere near this price anywhere on the planet.   Fast Playing Modern "C" Shape Maple Neck Leo Fender wasn't afraid to "think outside the box" when it came to guitar designs. In the 1950s and well into the 1970s, the blond natural maple neck became almost synonymous with Fender guitars. The American Strat HH Hard Tail keeps the trademark maple neck but has a slightly warmer-sounding rosewood fingerboard with a comfortable modern "C" shape and a 9.5-inch radius. In keeping with contemporary player preferences, the fast playing neck is finished in smooth satin polyurethane.  Fencder American Stratocaster HH Hard Tail Features:

Fender Guitars You could easily make the case that Fender electric guitars were responsible - at least in great part - for the birth of modern rock 'n' roll. Originally designed to be easier to build, and thus more affordable, Leo Fender's masterpieces, which include classics like the Stratocaster (is there a more distinctive guitar shape in the world?), the Telecaster and the original Precision Bass, were at the core of a musical revolution that spawned everything from surf to country to punk! In the 1960s, when Fender guitars first hit bandstands and stages all around the country, it was astonishing to see that trademark Fender maple neck and fingerboard. Though the company eventually offered rosewood fingerboards as standard or optional on its entire line of instruments, those first"blond" necks really shook things up. Others have picked up on the maple neck theme, but it's clearly yet another of Leo Fender's "firsts." Today, no other manufacturer can match Fender for the sheer number of options available throughout its entire line. While vintage Fenders can command astronomic prices, the company now has the widest range of quality instruments in the world, along with the highest profile players like Eric Clapton, Jeff Beck, Jimi Hendrix and Stevie Ray Vaughan, all of whom are legendary.
