The Master Design John English 1959 Stratocaster guitar features a Sonic Blue-finished, heavy Relic two-piece offset-seam alder body, with a maple neck featuring an African rosewood slab neck, 6105 frets and a 9.5" radius. Only 100 of the team-built John English 1959 Stratocaster will be manufactured! Other features include an 8-hole single-layer white pickguard and Custom Shop Fat '50s single-coil pickups (which include an ultra-cool, reverse-wound middle pickup). This is the team-built John English 1959 Stratocaster, replicating the exquisite quality of the Custom Shop Master-Design instrument. In the Fender Custom Shop's Master Design Series, a master builder designs and builds a limited run of a "custom" instrument that will also be built as a limited run by the Custom Shop's team builders under the specific instruction of the master builder. The Master Builder oversees the entire project, and each instrument comes with a special Custom Shop certificate, master builder biography, reproductions of the master builder's specs and notes and a DVD featuring interviews with the master builder discussing the inspiration and challenges involved with the instrument, all in a deluxe leather binder.
